The pictures you've all been posting here look great. What do you use to process them? And, on an unrelated note: is a circular polarizer something I should have on me when I take pictures in the Disney parks?

photoshop

It will make the sky prettier... will eliminate some glare off any water or windows or any shiny surface... not a requirement if you are shooting at night but in daylight they are nice to have..... don't forget to remove it when the sun goes down because you lose a bit of light with them.

I use the full version of Photoshop as I have the entire Creative Suite 5 package (CS5).

Lightroom 3. And if you do end up going with LR, make sure to get that current version of 3. LR2 isn't too much different; but the noise reduction in 3 is soooooo much better. There is also a full featured trial version on the Adobe site.

I have been using ACDSEE Pro 4. It is similar to Lightroom but I find it easier to use. You can download free trial of just about any software to try and see which one you like.

I have Photoshop Elements 9 and Lightroom 3. Ever since I got LR3, I really don't use Elements unless I do layers. And like Scott said, the noise reduction is very good.

Photoshop CS 5 and Adobe Bridge for Camera Raw and processing RAW files.

I don't have any suggestions about software, so I'm eagerly following this thread.

I do want to suggest that a polarizing filter is a great thing to have when you are outdoors in plenty of light at WDW. The "blue sky and puffy white cloud" effects aren't easily "created" in photo editing software.

The downside is that it does cut down on the available light, affecting your exposure choices. Not an issue outside in broad daylight, but can be a pain if you are continually going from outside to inside and need to take it off, put it on all the time.

I use Photoshop (CS5), Adobe Camera Raw, and the Topaz bundle. I also use Photomatix Pro to process HDR photos. I know I'm definitely not using my software to its full capacity....

Lightroom, Paint Shop Pro X3, Topaz Bundle.
and Portrait Professional

Photoshop and Topaz bundle.

Download a free 30-day trial at topazlabs.com You can lots of fun with the Topaz Adjust product.

Photoshop CS5, Lightroom 3, the Topaz bundle, Photomatix pro, and at least one or two others I can't think of right now.

Jack of all trades... master of none!

Forgot to add I organize everything in iPhoto....

LR3, Elements 9, Topaz Adjust & Detail, Focus Magic

I have photoshop but cant figure it out. I used picture it for yrs but they no longer make it. I have a old version, it was easy to operate and could do lots with it. but not compatible with the newer computers. So Im lost.

I use Photoshop CS3 and love it. I've been using photoshop since the late 90's when it was a requirement in my photography classes.

I also use a circular polarizing filter and a UV protector filter (which was about $10) to protect my $45 polarizing filter.
