What phobias do you have?

Birds. I can't stand being near them.

and religious/exorcism/satan based horror movies. The gory ones don't bother me as much, though.

This thread is freaking me out and giving me phobias I didn't know I had! :scared1:

But, oh boy, spiders. Just the thought of them....ewwwww

Cockroaches.....

Roller coasters (except BTMR)...

caves...

This is silly but I have a fear of open stairwells. I hate walking up or down them and being able to see the stair below me. I don't know why it stresses me out so much.

My niece has always been terrified of open stairwells, too. When she was little, we'd have to carry her up and down them. Now she's 27 and she still wants me to hold her hand when we go down a big set of stairs from our cottage to the beach. :teeth: So, I walk her down, turn around climb back UP the steps, and escort her children down. Yeah, I love her. And if there's a mouse around, I'm making her chase it out of the cottage. :rotfl:

Not very original but spiders.

In the pool, my brother found a HUGE dead spider on the bottom of the pool. He throws it AT me and I scream at the top of my lungs runnning inside crying.

I just don't know what my deal with them is. Dead or alive. :scared:

As you can see from my tag, I'm not very fond of spiders or falling.

Snakes! Pictures of snakes, wooden snakes, plastic snakes, rubber snakes, I'm scared of them all! Cobras are the worst!

I'm afraid to fly on planes but I do it several times a year. I'm most comfortable in an aisle seat.

Driving on any expressway type road. I will drive miles out of the way to get where I'm going on a back road. This stems from a close encounter I had with my mortality about 25 years ago. This includes being a passenger as well. I WILL do it if I absolutely have to but it scares me to death!

I don't like being around insects that sting.

Being under water in an enclosed space. Never thought I was claustrophobic until I went on 20,000 Leagues when that was still open at the MK. I could not wait to get out of that ride!

Feet and spiders. They both pretty much skeeve me out.

I have another one. It is not really a phobia, but an intense dislike and gross out. I don't like buttons. I don't wear button up clothes and I won't buy them for my children. I can't talk about it anymore because I'm gagging.

Well, there are certain bugs that I don't love (slimy ones , those big cicadas and some varieties of spiders) but I do not have a paralyzing fear of them.

I have a brief flash of flying off into the air and getting killed when I get on to carnival rides, but it doesn't stop me from getting on them.

I guess my biggest fear is becoming chronically ill where I have to spend all my days in some sort of healthcare facility, dependent on others for all my needs.

That's the weirdest one on this whole thread......

BIRDS!! I cannot take being around them especially when people let them fly out of a cage in a home! I will leave! I just freak out!

This is tagalicious!

Clowns, crowds and as far as I am concerned frogs are satans playmates :sad2:
