What perks would YOU like to see?

Hmm, I like several of the suggestions made so far... the suggestions I would like to see happen that shouldn't cost DVC too much money, and would be much appreciated in our household...

1) TiW available without an Annual Pass

2) Free bonus Fastpasses that could be used anywhere, anytime

3) longer, maybe even 180 day booking window for dining for DVC members only, available only through Member Services. (I wouldn't mind if the longer window were also available to Club level guests... that would make it seem like a real perk for "preferred customers")

I would love to see these perks:

- DVC Fastpass card for your entire stay

- Discounts on DVC merchandise ie hats, shirts etc

- 180 days for ADRs for DVC members (assuming it remains to be 90 days for other guests)

- Discounts on all restaurants and not just a selected few for 20% in all meals (not just lunch or breakfast)

- Discounted DDP

It's nice to dream!:)

If every DVC member staying on points got a DVC fastpass, can you just see the length of the fastpass line? Count up the number of DVC villas and figure at least 60% of them on points (should be more, but just say 60%) and that would be a whole lot of people waiting in the fast pass lines. They would be as long as the standby lines.

Fastpass would be great but then it wouldn't be a fast pass if every one had it!

A larger discount on AP's, Yes, compaired to every other theme park, etc. Disney ranks the highest in cost and they could gives us a little more discount!

The rest, can stay as it is!

O.K. I am loving the idea of the refillable DVC mugs and I would love a dining plan discount since we can't qualify for free dining if we are staying on points!! At least if they did that more people may dine out instead of cooking or eating in the villas?

DVC Refill mugs would be good since Coke has a contract with Disney that is not based on quantity of how much we drink (info I have read here), so it wouldn't cut into their profits.

13 month AP's would be great, especially when you have a certain time of year that you like to visit. This one actually does cut into profits somewhat, but the more trips we can make to disney on those AP's the more money is spent at Disney!

More options for discounted park tickets. I think the discount for AP is great
But if i go only one week in a year it's not worth getting it

I agree with this, but I think giving everyone staying on points a single bonus freebie fastpass either per park or per day shouldn't unbalance things too much. They're already experimenting with different ways of using fastpasses, and I think it might really be a perk that might encourage some people to join DVC. (And really, isn't that what at least some perks are about?)

Us too!!! We will be making 2 trips next year but that will be VERY rare for us. A discount on other tickets would be great!!

AP's or park hoppers of some sort that are good for both WDW and DL. We would like to go to DL again sometime but instead, we keep returning to DW because of the AP discount. I don't want to re-buy tix in order to go to a different coast!!!! I really think DVC members should be able to go to any US park with one tix.

That is definitely what I would like to see. :thumbsup2 Now that they are going to have GCV, it seems to only make sence to have an AP that would be good in both locations. I think that if you have unused days on a nonexpiring hopper that they can be changed to DL tickets, but I want the AP!

I would like to see what they have at Disneyland - 10% off all dining locations - table service and counter service. I was out there twice last year and did not pay full price for any meal.

I am a new member and haven't utilized our DVC yet, but I think I am with most people on the board. I would like to see discounts on DDP or a dining plan special program for DVC members. I would also like a discount on park tickets. (AP's won't work for us, we plan to visit every other year)

As many of you posted Disney is a company to make $, I realize that, but like others, I kinda feel like well they already have our money, so at least give us a little something for us basically giving Disney our business for the next 50 yrs.

One other perk that I would love to have, wouldn't cost Disney a dime. That would be for DVC Members and the guests staying with them on points, to be issued Fast Passes, or Front of the Line Passes, to be used at all the parks. That could be done by using the room keys marked as DVC Members.

I have to totally agree with this. The Fast Passes were originally for people staying on property and was quickly changed for any park guest. This was a BIG incentive for us to stay on property but we feel ripped since they changed this. We stayed on property 4 times years ago just to get the Fast Pass advantage. We took the plunge into DVC just to go to other places in the world, not just to WDW or DL.
A super pass for DVC owners would be great! A twist? DVC goes to head of all lines during EMHs and special EMHs for DVC owners ONLY!

I would like a discount on park passes since I won't be there enough each year to utilize an annual pass. Thye could limit the discount to those that live in the same household as you up until they are a certain age. They could even limit it to that you have to name each person you have living there (Husband, wife, kids) and the only way to add anyone would be with new birth or marriage to single owner.

That would be my favorite perk !

Discounted AP's should be who you travel with and not just who lives in your house. Maybe give a limit number per member.

I would like to see a discount on Magic Your Way tickets. We have annual passes (and LOVE the DVC discount on those--a great perk!), but when family or friends travel with us, I would like to be able to get a discount on their tickets.

Personally, we didn't buy for the discounts or perks, so any that they have are just a bonus.

-I think free Valet parking at all resorts with it. All valet is handled by the same company if I recall, and they already handle the shared resorts DVC resorts (ie. BCV, AKV, BLT), so it wouldn't be much to add it to the others.

-Fast Pass allocation of some sort (unlimited, X number a day, etc). One thing I think Universal does well is reward those staying on property with "front of the line" access. Although Disney is much larger (and with double the parks), I'm sure they could do something along those lines.

-The 10% discount at World of Disney spread to at least one other retailing spot in each park. Almost all things at the park can be purchased at World of Disney (except World Showcase) and often we hold off on making a purchase (even sometimes all together) until we go there. Shopping for many is impulsive and if people didn't have to wait to get a discount, their sales may actually increase (and lets be honest, nothing Disney sells has only a 10% profit margin).

-Regardless of DVC or not, actual package delivery to your room. This is another area that Universal offers an enhanced service when staying on property. Disney used to offer this service, but stopped. They really should bring it back.

It takes too many people to deliver packages to the actual rooms, plus keys to get into all those rooms. Thus pick up at the resort store instead.

Be careful what you wish for. They could do a combined AP for WDW and DL. And make it cost the combination of a DL and WDW AP without the water parks, etc.

I definately understand this, but again, this is a perk that I miss and that Universal still does, granted smaller scale (less resorts, less parks), but it is a valid complaint. Larger doesn't always mean better (wow, I sound like a Universal fanboy).
