What perk would you want to see added?

9/11 was 24 years ago. There have always been bad actors and there always will be. The world is full of mean people. That's not new either. The concept of trading freedom for illusion of security is not new. I will choose to leave it at that.
But liability insurance requires it, and I'm not willing to see my dues increase sharply to cover an insurance without that clause, if such an insurance even exists.

Can you please show where that is a requirement of the coverage? I'd like to see it in writing and the exact verbiage. I'm not doubting you, but you are stating it as fact, so obviously you know it exists and have read it.

Bring back the old FAST PASS system, I'm old and can't deal with all this other crap.
It will never be back, sadly, as long as they are able to charge for Lightning Lanes. On a positive note, the current system is very similar to a paid version of the FP+ system, and works better than Genie. You are able to plan a few rides AND some meals without conflict. Where as with genie and the original LL system, planning was impossible.

Always thought that special pricing for park tickets should have been a perk. Maybe even a 1 time a year special discount or something would be nice. Florida residents get discount, DVC should get the same or even more of a discount.

My guess - it has nothing to do with your benefit, much less your security. The daily check is about validating the integrity of Disney property once a day and affirming you are not a problem guest for them.
The checks are a result of the slaughter that took place in Vegas, when the gun man fired from his hotel room.

They need to fix the penalty for split stays, where your "on property" resets each time you move around. They want me to have all these points and add on at different resorts, but then I can only book half my trip at a time. We have specifically not done more than two rooms in a stay because it's stressful to have two dates for dining, and now it's also 2 dates for LL.

This really should be fixed for EVERYONE, but DVC should get involved in this one because they encourage hopping by pushing us to add more resorts.
Agreed, especially for booking dining reservations for the length of reservation. Split stays only allow booking for the length of each reservation even though a person may be staying 8-10 nights in total

Yes. This. And not just the ridiculous 1-3% discount for buying MMB.

Our closing documents clearly state that DVC Ownership is not Florida residency. I was actually pleasantly surprised that they offer us the Sorcerer Pass like Florida Residents, instead of a small discount on the full pass. Discounts have to be negotiated between Parks and DVC, as they are legally different companies. Remember, for many, many years there was not park pass discount for DVC members AT ALL, not even an annual pass discount. While a day based ticket discount would be great, especially if it were DVC Members AND their guests staying in the same room, related or not, (especially for members like me who have no remaining relatives) it just isn't something that is likely to happen, even with Membership Magic Beyond. I just keep hoping, even though it also is unlikely to happen, that they'll give us a photo pass tied to our annual passes that is good all year, like the $100 add-on, even a discount would be nice, since it is a free service for daily park pass holders for one trip per year.

Another perspective on it, we see DVC members are feeling snubbed, wanting more discounts. Then you see Florida Residents complaining because they granted some of "their" discounts and perks to DVC Members. Two sides to the same coin. FL Resident discounts can disappear just like DVC Discounts. I still miss the Tables in Wonderland card, but they say it isn't ever coming back. And it is kind of understandable, given AP and DVC already get 10% at a lot of dining venues. The biggest advantage to TiW was the discount on adult beverages. But with all the issues we see with alcohol on flights and the fights in the parks, I doubt Disney would want to encourage more alcohol consumption with a discount.

I don't think they are saying that DVC counts as Florida residency. They are just saying that they should at least offer the same perks (if not better!) to their committed paying customers vs those who just happen to live in Florida. Disney could decide that a DVC contract is eligible for the same discounts/options as a Florida resident at any time if they wanted to.

And I would tend to agree. Why should someone who just happens to live in Florida and has committed nothing to Disney get more/better options than those who have given Disney a large chunk of money up front and have committed to continually supporting them year after year.

Why? Why would be unlikely to happen? The cheap-o MMB weekday ticket discount proves that it is an option for DVD to consider. As sad as that discount is, they could do a LOT better.

I have said this before, but it is my opinion they will not extend FL resident options to DVC because it would skew demand times too much for booking rooms.

I mean, for example the Pirate Pass is basically no weekends, no holidays, and no summer.

Not sure what that would do to DVC bookings.

ETA: As a resident, the one pass I do miss is the Epcot after 4 annual. That was fantastic.

No weekends, no holidays, and no summer was probably over 90% of my park days last year lol. I like that it is not as busy during the week. So I am sure some of us could make it work if the price was right! We did go some Saturdays though.

I never meant that they have to be the exact same offerings anyway. I (and I think many other DVC members) would just love to have our faith in Disney rewarded with more/better options and perks.

Same like me, I plan all my park days during the week for better pricing and crowds, especially because im on vacation and already have the days off, no way you'll see me there on the weekend, A Pixie Dust Pass would work fabulously

It isn't DVC that grants the discounts. They are negotiated between two divisions, and they don't always share the same goals.

Remember that many. many locals, especially vloggers, are in the parks every day. So local annual passholders have a commitment, as well.
Plus there are ZERO perks for Disney Stockholders, who DO actually "Own a Piece of the Magic."

And overall, DVC Members still make up a relatively small percentage of overall WDW visitors. And, our visits are likely not going to increase because of a ticket discount...many of us already have either the full AP or the Sorcerer pass. I, for one, had an AP long before there was any discount...of course they were cheaper back then...but still.

If DVC thought it would make a big difference in direct sales, they'd probably negotiate a better deal, OR they may have a purchase incentive just for new purchasers, like free or heavily discounted admission for a limited number of years, like those of us that got free admission for 8 or 9 years in the early days.
