What part of the ship is the best

Thinking about going on our first trip on the Dream for a 4 night bahamian cruise. I'd like to book a stateroom with a verandah so I was wondering which deck would be the best and what part of the ship? Any category recommendations? Factors would include less noise and less movement of the ship. Thanks!

To avoid noise, I would recommend a stateroom that has only cabins on the deck above it and cabins on the deck below it, so decks 7, 8, and 9 would be good for this. Sometimes state rooms that are above or below public spaces get some noise from those areas. For quiet areas, you might also want to avoid cabins that are right by the elevator lobbies. For less movement you want to be close to the middle of the ship.

We love cat 5E extreme aft - deck 9. (i.e. 9174) Huge deck & close to the food, too! :-)

Can you feel lots of movement in the aft?

We've never really noticed much movement at all in 9174..... (especially compared to the movement in the bow/theater when there are waves! :scared:, by DH and I both use scopolamine patches throughout the cruise.
