Ok-any dog people-please help!!! I have a 2 1/2yo English Springer Spaniel that just doesn't quite get that I have NO control over the fact that its raining-has been for 24 hours and is going to til sometime next week-he will NOT stay out long enough to go-just sat out there with him(mind you-under the carport-he is NOT getting wet!!! ) He just keeps staring at me. No intention of doing "it". I was freezing, so I gave up..lol-no accidents inside-he's very good about that, I know he won't be able to stand it at about 3am-he hates the rain, hates the sound-hates it on his paws-I give up!!!BTW-the brat's name is Kodi!!! I love him to death, but you would think I am tearing his toenails out one by one...jeeez-it's going to be a long week.

My dog hates the rain, too. But, lucky for us- it means she gets to business as quickly as possible- no playing "bloodhound" and sniffing around the whole stupid yard for THE perfect spot to poo. :lmao:

Kodi is definitely a sniffer..you'd think there was really a better place to go-even though he's the only depositor where he goes..lol :rotfl2:

I always wonder, when I'm outwith my dog, what makes this grass better than the other grass she sniffed and decided it wasn't good enough for her poo?

The world may never know. :rotfl:

I grew up with a dog that hated the rain. She would put off going outside as long as possible, probably hoping the rain would stop! When she finally couldn't wait another minute she would go out the back door, down the steps, and swivel so that her hind end hung off the edge of the landing, but her feet stayed on the concrete, and she would speed pee and dash back up the steps. Poor sweetie absolutely did not like to get wet. Oh, and bath time always sent her into a tizzy!

Buy him a raincoat and booties - the other dogs in the neighborhood will kick his butt, and he'll get over it. ;)

My Yorkie does not like the wet grass on her feet, but when she does decided to go do her business - she sniffs and wanders and takes for ever.

Princess our lab/weimeramer takes care of business pretty quickly, but does not really care to be out in the rian - this caused problems during some of the hurricanes - there were VERY LONG periods of rain!

She will NOT go in the house, were as the Yorkie - well - she will if I don't watch her!

Walk him with an umbrella. Most devoted doggie-Mom's have done it at one time or another :)

Isn't that funny? My Springer, Ted, loves weather.

When I let him out, I have a hard time getting him back in. Rain, snow, wind....I worry more that the neighbors will think I am an abusive negeltful doggie mom. I end up in my bathrobe in the backyard, dragging him into the house.
