We are going in July for our honeymoon and are trying to decide what parks to go do. Currently we are going to MK, EP, HS, AK, Blank, and MK. We cant decide what park to go to for the blank day. I was thinking either Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Therese so many places to eat at Epcot but also HS. We are thinking of eating at sci-fi for lunch and 50s for dinner on the first HS day. And Epcot Biergarten and Garden grill. If we did epcot twice wed break up the buffets and go to rose and crown also. But Hollywood studios, if we went there twice the lunch places aren't exciting at all.

I'm also thinking it would be hard to do all HS shows in one day but maybe I'm wrong. On the other hand it would be nice to walk around Epcot and relax go to the pool some that day.

What is everyone elses opinions on the empty park day. What food places do you recommend at Epcot? How does everyone feel about Garden Grill?

Also below are our plans. We are staying at Pop Century.

Monday - Arrival no park
Lunch - Food Court
Dinner - Boma

Tuesday - Magic Kingdom
Lunch - Be Our Guest
Dinner - Be Our Guest

Wednesday - Epcot
Lunch - Rose and Crown or Biergarten
Dinner - Garden Grill

Thursday - Hollywood Studios
Lunch - Sci-Fi theater
Dinner - 50's Primetime

Friday - Animal Kingdom
Brunch or Lunch - Tusker House
Dinner - Flametree BBQ

Saturday - BLANK DAY - Possibilities Below
Lunch - Biergarten(Epcot) or Cape May Breakfast(Hollywood Studios)
Dinner - Sanaa

Sunday - Magic Kingdom
Lunch - Whispering Canyon Cafe
Dinner - Beaches in Cream or Columbia House or Ohana

I've been to disney like 10 times but my Fiance has never been there so I want her to love it because I love it. I'm thinking of doing a Character Meal since shes never done one. I'm thinking either Cape May BFST or Garden Grill or Tusker House. Chef Mickeys is just too expensive to justify it. I also love doing ohana but I think she would be overwhelmed by all the food because shes not a big eater and the speed(rush you) they serve you.

The ones I'm thinking are locks are Boma, Sci-fi, 50's, and Be Our Guest. Mostly for theming and fun. Anyone elses thoughts?

Thanks

My family will be doing 3(yikes) MK days, but if I were going with my DH, no DD, I'd head to Epcot for two days, one concentrating in future world, head in the am do the fun rides. Back to the hotel or DTD for the night. Day two laze around the hotel in the am, maybe a nice TS breakfast, head to EP for early afternoon when they open and do just countries.

I think the countries are under-rated and that you can really spend a lot of time wandering in and out of them...

I do think you can do all shows at HS in one day too...

Or get PHs and do it all!!! ;)

Cape May breakfast is great! I've heard good things about 1900 PF too...

Epcot, definitely. We spent two full days at Epcot on our last trip and still did not get to everything!

Epcot would be the park to do twice, especially if you are interested in food, and it seems that you are.

And for what it is worth...I would not do Sci-Fi and 50's Prime Time back-to-back for lunch and dinner. Fairly heavy comfort food at both places with some stylistic repetition, if not actual menu repetition. A big burger and a piece of Turtle Cheesecake followed by fried chicken and a PB&J milk shake all within a few hours could send you into a food coma or have you checking into rehab. :faint:

Well if we go to scifi for lunch we wouldnt get dessert probly sandwiches. lol and probly no dessert at 50s either. We arent on the dining plan. Seems like everyone likes epcot lol

Really depends on the family.

Epcot is so large, it can easily take two days. Personally, World Showcase bores me (unless we can stop into at least two restaurants). But many, MANY, people will disagree with me about World Showcase.

Hollywood Studios seems like it's only a half-day for our family (many say the same about AK). We do enjoy the shows (Beauty & Beast, Little Mermaid, Frozen Sing-Along, Fantasmic), but only enjoy two rides (Toy Story & Tower of Terror). Muppet 3-D not too amusing, and the Indiana Jones Show does not appeal to my wife. In my opinion, it just seems like there is less to do and see here while strolling.

We like the shows (Lion King, Nemo, Flights of Wonder) and 3-D movie at Animal Kingdom. We can now also enjoy Everest (my kid is tall enough) along with the many animal viewings. And in my opinion, DinoLand still needs one more ride.

Regardless, Animal Kingdom would be my choice for 2-day Park over Epcot or Hollywood Studios.

This is basically what we are doing.

However, on our arrival day, we are going to eat at Garden Grill. So we will go to Epcot to eat at Garden Grill, FP+ Soarin' and hopefully ride Living with the Land

We are going to hit Rope Drop at Epcot one morning and concentrate on future world (probably standby Test Track and another FP+ for Soarin'). And have lunch at Coral Reef. Dinner will be at 1900 PF

Our next Epcot day is a sleep-in, have a later breakfast at Kona kind of day. Probably make another FP+ for Soarin' around noon, Biergarten late lunch (1:45), then walk around World Showcase.

Epcot for sure. Last time we went my husband & I didn't eat a meal there, instead we had a drink and picked on things in almost every country. It was great! He had beer in Canada, we did wine & cheese in England, Grey Goose slush & pastry in France, Gelato in Italy, egg rolls in China (there was more I don't remember but we ended it with margaritas in Mexico. We didn't get drunk, we just had a very relaxing evening. Kids enjoyed picking on different foods as well. Just an idea since you aren't on the dining plan.

Echoing everyone else, EPCOT! :goodvibes My husband and I both agree that it's our favorite part. I firmly believe you cannot spend too much time in the World Showcase. It's amazing! :cloud9:

I'd say Epcot. We usually do 2 days there and split the WS in those 2 days so we can sample more ;) We're only doing 1 day on our next trip so hopefully we'll get everything done!

We got four days tickets with PH and WP for a seven night stay. Each of the days we use a ticket we will eat at EP. Garden Grill is the only repeat for everyone and my cousin insisted on it. Her profile picture on FB is a two-plus year-old picture with Mickey from Garden Grill. :sunny:

So, yes to Epcot and Garden Grill.

+Definitely Epcot. It is our favorite Park.
I would not do Garden Grill, I think there are too many nice restaurants in World Showcase. We love Rose & Crown in the UK, La Hacienda in Mexico, Via Napoli in Italy, Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco, the bakery in France and Le Cellier in Canada.
Have Fun

I'm going with the Epcot crowd. . . Not because I dont love the other parks, just that due to sheer size Epcot takes longer. I think you can do justice to nearly all the shows in DHS in one day - as long as it's a pretty full day. Also, epcot has such great food and drinks, I like to go twice to get more snacking and drinking in! There are only so many meals you need in one day ;)

Another Epcot lover, I actually go just about every day that I'm at Disney, if just for a hour or two (I always get park hoppers and have an annual pass now). Having said that, if you have a free day why not take the time and relax. Lounge around the pool, hotel hop and see some of the other resorts and grab lunch at one of them. The deluxes all have sit down restaurants that you might be able to just do a walk in, if not most of the quick service locations at the resorts are worth visiting. You could spend just about all day just doing the monorail loop and visiting those hotels.
