What other timeshares are equal to the Marriotts?

I've got my plane tickets (the hard part) and my rental car for next February. All we need is a place to stay. I see a lot of other timeshare rentals advertised but I don't know the resorts. We've always stayed at the Marriotts/Hiltons/Vistana's and have been very happy with them and the high quality standard they provide. The one time we didn't go with a name brand was Orange Lake and we found the quality of that resort much worse then the brands mentioned above. That said, I'm sure some of the others out in Orlando may be of similar high quality. Any recommendations? Thanks

Well, IMO the DVCs are every bit as nice as and more magical than the top of the line Marriotts (Cypress Harbour and Grande Vista) and of higher quality than the other Marriotts in Orlando. I believe that, while really nice, Vistana Villages and the two Hiltons are probably in the next tier. While very, very different I like both Cypress Pointe and the Vistana Resort. And, while I've never stayed there, I hear a lot of people speak highly of the Houses at Summer Bay resort.

The 2 new Mike Ditka resorts look very nice, Runaway Beach Club and Lighthouse Key. Also Floridays resort, off I'Drive, is supposed to be very nice.

need more information.

while do you like these - the rooms themselves or the activities?

if the rooms - then Vacation Villa at Parkway has very nice rooms - but they don't have the activities or restuarants of those resorts.

try for building 1, 2 or 3 - I don't like 7, 8, 9 nearly as well.
