What other subjects would you want to listen to the DIS team talk about?

I am currently listening to some old shows from 2012 which featured a segment on best CS in each park. Really interesting to me. I would like to hear an updated version of that.
Or a follow up with the best CS in the resorts.

I have to say that I really miss the type of content that was covered in The Trip. As much as I love hanging out at our resort, touring other resorts, etc., having other things to consider on non-park days was nice.

I also do miss the segments following the Tuesday show. Now, I do feel like some of the Disneyland content is the answer to that and I can easily turn it on after the Tuesday show (since I'm way behind on watching everything). Unfortunately, we answered Pete's call to "Go to Disneyland" before all of this aired and we missed out on a lot of good info that would have helped on our trip. DH has no desire to return, so a lot of it just makes me sad that I missed out on these things and may never be able to put their good info to use.

Beyond that, I like cooking segments and I don't think they need to be limited to DL food, I like merchandise news- especially since we now have the parks app, I'd like to see stuff on the MANY ways to do a Disney trip right (i.e. since different things work for different people and some of these components could give perspective or maybe freshen up how others approach their trips), I like historical info as well as perspective pieces since it's not only nice to know foundation info but also see how sentiments differ on a person that started visiting in the 70s, 80s, 90s, etc., and the Wish list threads really got me thinking about how neat it would be to hear discussion about the wishes- if they're feasible- would it be a real enhancement, etc.

Of course, back then, you wouldn't have found Aladdin or Lion King or Mary Poppins or a Disney Store anywhere near Broadway so there is that trade off.
True, but I could probably deal with that.
Aladdin is in Australia either now or in the next few months, the lion king was here not long ago and Mary poppins may have been too.
I've never seen a peep show in Melbourne.

But the only reason that Disney on Broadway became a thing was Broadway getting so cleaned up and made to be a place you could go with your family. If it was still dark and seedy, those Disney shows probably wouldn't exist.

As for the peep shows in Melbourne, can't help you there.

Well, I think it went hand in hand - I think Disney worked with NYC to clean up the area in exchange for them opening up theaters and shows

Was it that close? I remember the laws that happened for adult oriented stores near tourist areas and I thought it was a pretty big gap between the cleanup and the change in flagship stores coming to times square and 42nd street. Then again a lot of real estate also opened up when they got closed down so maybe it was?

I do recall there being a connection whether it was formal and official or not. I was just making the point that if not for the clean up, Disney probably wouldn't be there.

Well, I think the city wanted to clean up the area anyway but I recall Disney insisting they did if they were to come to Broadway so it further motivated the city - not sure how formal it was but definitely motivation for/from both sides

But even if it was still the adult book stores and electronic stores perpetually having a 'going out of business' sale, the name Broadway has always meant something.

To open on Broadway meant you had the finances to pay the rent, so it had to be good (same goes for restaurants in the district) and surviving on Broadway for a year meant your show would work anywhere. It still isn't the nicest area of the city to me, but I don't like people. It is crowded, touristy, and not that clean (Vegas looks better) but any show done there is going to have better production than anywhere in the world.

That's exactly the way I remember it - a partnership to clean up the area between NYC and Disney.

I definitely remember as a kid to say somebody "worked on/was from 42nd St." was NOT a compliment!

We have to jump through hoops to have a Cast Member on the show.

Then Disney sets the hoops on fire and puts them over a pit of live snakes.

For a CM to talk to the "press" they need to have media training and they usually have a "handler" that accompanies them.

We also have disclose whet we will ask and how we will ask it.

Cast Members are not allowed to discuss their jobs otherwise.
What about former CM's? or college programmers after there semester is up?

I think it'd be cool to do an episode on Disney Parks Urban Legends (Both true and not). Things like abandoned properties (Discovery Island, anyone?), altered rides, cryogenically frozen founders, Andy coming, and anything else folks can come up with.

(Bonus points if done around Halloween with a dramatic reading of the "Abandoned by Disney" creepypasta)

I'd love to see a 'behind the scenes' video, showing all the equipment they use in the studio, and maybe reviews of some of the kit (cameras etc.) they use for the content...

Would like to have them go over again DVC. Cover total cost of points and resorts along with maintance fees etc. cover all the ins and outs. I also would like to hear a little speculation on what they feel is going to be coming in the next five years.

I agree wholeheartedly. One of my biggest debates with myself was the monthly or annual fees. When I finally looked around 2011 I would pay as much in maintenance fees as I would staying at a resort once a year. I still don't understand it all, but it seems i waited too long.

I would like to hear a podcast on some lesser known things at the resorts and parks. For example, I really enjoyed horseback riding at Fort Wilderness and being able to check out the stables. Maybe someone from the team could do a mini segment on the Disney horses?

How about reviews of the mini golf courses?

Or even a trip to one of the water parks.
