What order would you sell your contracts?

I wouldnt, because well first my wife would kill me and second I do want to stay in club level and see what thats about, plus im loving the new refurb pics!

I feel like blt has a lot of similarities with vdh in ways with the disney themeing and Joey chou artwork and I feel like now I have twins on different coasts and I like the variety of a disney hotel, African kingdom, and hawaii lol.

Plus we stayed at akv blt and ccv this holiday and ccv and akv felt so magical and blt fell flat for me. It was so damn crowded to I was like why haha. I do like my dues bill there tho the best lol. I never want to stay at value in akv, only sv and club so I think best to keep it.
I usually do club level the first night and then value the night following. That way I still have access the day of check in to my value room and then the only day i dont have access to club is the day of checkout which usually doesnt matter since checkout is at 11AM anyways. I see myself wanting to do value 1BRs at AKV which is why I'm holding it. I suppose having my AKV is nice because points do go much further there than at a monorail resort. Idk I think this very well might be my locked in home resorts, I don't really see an actual NEED to swap or exchange anything

Do u do the one bedroom club level and then the one bedroom value? Or studios? And you only stay two nights?

I feel like ill never get a studio club level so I dont even factor that. My current points only give me 4 nights in a one bedroom club level which isnt enough. I prefer my split stay to be 5 nights, but I don't want a bunch of points at one resort either bla. I guess 4 nights will do or maybe I could switch it up with value like youre doing. I like that half the value rooms are sv, we got lucky with one last time and it felt great to save the points and get a sv!

I never thought about it, but I think actually doing club level just one night as a treat and having access for two days is a great idea!

Im like you I don't think its worth it for me to go thru the hassle of selling and taking a hit just yet, I suppose if I cant get into pit I can revisit that.

I'll jump in. Good mental exercise. My listing below is not in a financially based order with regards to purchase price or ongoing maintenance fees. All our points are direct.
  1. 190 Polynesian - My wife's in the minority with Poly and not really a fan. I know I know but it is what it is. She hasn't stayed in the Tower yet so fingers crossed that may change things a bit. Come to think of it, if selling today we would be around breakeven or maybe ahead.
  2. 200 Old Key West 2057 - Lovely resort. I sometimes wonder if post 2042 we'll have the run of the place with no problems booking 2 months out. But none the less, it's #2 on the list.
  3. 65 Villas Disneyland Hotel - We have another contract of 110 which is plenty for a studio or duo stay. We structured VDH into two contracts just in case of a sale.
  4. 40 Bay Lake Tower - Small contract that allows us to book a couple of nights at Christmas or New Years. Fireworks, restaurants, the hustle and bustle of being somewhere lively. Rides would not be a focus for us for end of year. Having BLT and VDH as the last two allows us to continue our rotation between CA and FL parks.
  5. 110 Villas Disneyland Hotel - Yes it has the highest dues. Yes it has the occupancy tax. Doesn't matter. Disneyland and DCA are parks we love. Easy access to Downtown Disney. Love the early Spring Food and Wine Festival at DCA. Disneyland is my wife's favorite park. Trader Sam's is right at the front door. Din Tai Fung is awesome. Palm Breeze and pool area feels like being at Palm Springs. Plus lots of other Southern California stuff to do.
Lastly, no plans to sell...
Ooo I like this Palm Springs comparison, I totally see it! I cant wait to try Din Tai Fung, we tried to go on Sunday and they told us the wait would be 6 hours wthhhh it must be good! 😅

It felt really nice to stay and then the next day visit the Fullerton Arboretum, family and my favorite OC pizza place. There is a lot to do in the area. I can also go to Knotts when we stay there cuz we have the annual passes there too!

DTF is amazing! You make reservations directly on their website, and I believe they only open up 30 days out rather than the usual Disney 60 days.

Good to know, was totally unprepared! We were going to sit at the bar but they make you wait outside for that and a host is supposed to get you when something clears. Yeah that doesnt work, a bunch of people just walked in, looming around to try to cut so we gave up lol

I've done it on the studios, haven't done it on a 1BR yet but usually we'll do like BW/BC/RIV for 4-5 nights and then do AKV to end the trip when we're lazy and just want to lounge around the room til like 11-12. I cannot explain how nice it is to walk 5 steps outside of your room and have a buffet of snacks/drinks available to you. Now that we have more points and don't need to stretch them as far I can see us booking the 1BRs which are easier to get. I am yet to stay in a standard/savanna view room at AKV and hopefully that won't really change LOL.

Tx911 is correct. Use the app and make a reservation. I think we were able to snag a spot the day of but I wouldn't always bank on that. DTF is super popular for good reason. Its so goooodd.
