What one thing would you buy with $20 at Disney World?

First I'd purchase Safari Mickey Ears at AK, and then I'd walk over to the Dino Diner for a Root Beer Float. Yummy!

No offense, but when I saw the topic I couldn't help but laugh. I mean seriously Disney is so overpriced you could probably get a candy bar and that is it. That is the one area where Disney gets ya. I would probably get like a model of the ride I liked most like I have the test track car model and the rockin roller coaster model. That way I can just look at it and remember the great times.

When we went in November the first thing I bought was in Epcot- a spray fan water bottle! It was very hot and was 17.00.

A couple of pins and a Dole Whip.

Or a new Mickey nightshirt.

Forget everything I said already-can I use the 20. as a partial deposit on the first night of my next trip? I would hand the cash right over to the front desk CM! Never made new ressies for next trip while still at WDW- that would be so amazingly great I think I would fall over and hit my head....then I would wake up.....

Can someone give me information on those penny books? that sounds really nice. I didnt know that Disney had lots of machines for pressed pennies.

Well, a Kungaloosh for starters! A tin of mickey mints. A mickey bar. And some sort of cup to bring home.

Hope this doesn't sound sarcastic but..... WHAT CAVE HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING IN?? (ha, ha:p ) Just kidding. THere are several posts around here about the pressed pennies. www.allearsnet.com has a very extensive list of the different pennies and where they are available, all through the parks and resorts. My kids got VERY into it during our last visit. It was like a treasure hunt, trying to find different machines. Finding a few is an inexpensive souveniour, but my kids each filled a book and then some.... gets a bit pricey. But my kids were a bit intimidated by many of the rides during our first visit and this was one of the things that they looked forward to each day. So it was well worth it in my opinion. This time around we will be heading over to All Star Movies to make sure we get a Buzz Lightyear penny for DS... other than that we will just wing it and get them where ever we find them. One of the tips around is to be sure to use pre-1982 pennies (as they are made with more zinc after that date and don't press as well). I poured through a bucket of change, picked out every pre-82 I could find, soaked them in vinegar for a few days to shine them up, washed and dried them, and they are bagged up and ready go to for our next trip. Somewhere I read the suggestion that you can carry them in an mini M&M tube... stack them two quarters then one penny, then repeat. I got my tubes at the local movie theater. I saw two that were being thrown away, brought them home, put them on the top rack of the dishwasher to clean them, and they are also ready to go! Hope this helps!! ...............P

My DH's answer - a haircut at the MK barbershop! It usually runs around $18 with tip.

Since you said it was for your DD, I would suggest a pair of Mickey head Icon birthstone earrings. I bought a pair for my DD at the WL gift shop - they had all birthstones. (providing she has pierced ears). You didn't say how old your DD was, but what about some cute hair accessories (hair ties, barrettes, clips etc). They even had cute princess luggage tags.

My DD is 5 and loves the back scratcher she purchased on our last trip.

Hope this helps a little.
