Sounds like it was night terrors to me too. DS#1 had them until he was 2 1/2. That was years ago but I can still remember those nights like it was yesterday! I don't think there was anything worse than having him screaming in the middle of the night with no hope of waking him up (goodness knows we tried to wake him up many times).
