What odd thing do you pack

I'm sorry, I never saw that thread.

If the moderators would like to merge the two threads I have absolutely no issue with that.
Noooo, don't take any offense (or feel guilty) if you did, I was just speaking aloud. *zips lips* Carry on!

If you're worried I'm some sort of pot stirrer or spammer, feel free to stalk me. ;)
I've been a regular member ever since I joined and post not daily, but certainly weekly. I just don't venture out to post threads very often.

I honestly had no idea there was another thread posted, and didn't even know about the giant one that someone linked to on page 1. I'm now also reading that 90+ page thread. :o

I've started taking a battery operated little votive candle. I turn it on at night and put it on the toilet tank top. Nice, low light for those middle of the night trips to the bathroom.

my heating pad - it feels really goodon my feet or back after a day in the parks

plus im that strange person who loves the room ice cold but wants 4 blankets

And nice mood lighting.

Thanks for this tip. One of the grands is afraid of the dark only in hotels so this is a great way to help comfort her.

vapor rub.
i lather it on my feet before heading out in the morning and my feet truly don't hurt plus it helps to make my feet soft instead of dry and cracking by the end of vacation.

i started doing this after reading an article while at WDW in december 2007.
when i went in december 2008/january 2009 i implemented it and i could never go without it again!

i've tried to get my family members to use it but they just can't stand the thought of it on their feet and making their shoes smell like sweaty menthol.

i also use it on any trip that i know i'm gonna be on my feet so i did it when i went to washington DC and Reno.

i also plan to use it in Hawaii on days when i'll be walking a lot.

and i've been using it at home now that i'm walking 2 miles a day for exercise.

Duct tape. I found out on my last trip that it worked better than moleskin stopping blisters( not with my Teva Tirra's but with another of my Teva's). Moleskin just slid right off and bunched up.

Duct tape works for that???

Duct tape works for that???

Yep. I read about it on the tips board a couple of years agao. I think it is a runners trick. It works best with a more snug fitting shoe. I had it under the pad of my foot and along the side. It was Mickey duct tape too! So it looked kind of funny in my sandals :)

edit: don't put lotion, etc, on before applying tape though...won't stick well :)

I like this idea...but I think I might try it with peppermint essential oil too!!!

Haha!!!! How long do you stay??? Wifey uses about a roll a day. We would need three suitcases just for the the TP!!!!!

We usually go for a week and we drive so I take a large pack of toilet tissue. My kids used to think I was crazy but are now believers. We call the cheap TP John Wayne paper because everyone walks like a cowboy after usage:jester:
