"What Not To Wear" - Show is on again May 29

Oh, how exciting for you!!! Now you have to post every detail of your experience so we can live vicariously through you. Don't worry about the Disney items, they can be replaced on your next trip. But fight for them anyway, because that makes the show fun to watch! Let Nick work his magic with your hair, don't fight him, he works miracles. It never ceases to amaze me how the people with the scraggliest hair are crying the hardest about getting it cut. It's HAIR people!!! It grows.

I have waist length hair and if he or anyone like him tried to cut my hair off, quite frankly they would get castrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

$5000 - do you get makeup? Do they buy it for you, or do you buy it? What if you want a new perfume to match your 'look', can you do that?

Im just curious about how they watch this $5000.

I did get makeup, but I didn't have to pay for it out of my $5000, Carmindy just gave it to me! She was so nice.
I didn't ask about perfume though

Most often, it seems to me, that the people on the show do not know how badly they look (and the resulting negative perceptions people have of them) and most importantly, people often simply do not know how to best dress to play up their strong points and downplay their negative points. I guess I don't understand why doing so is such a big deal.

Well, then I am so glad you had an opportunity to learn what to do!

Seriously, when I was in bridal, every day someone would come in who could have been a WNTW candidate. They were always amazed at how great I could make them look not only for their wedding day, but how my tips could help them dress in real life. Every day someone would end up crying in my appointment room because they had given up on looking good and when they saw how good they COULD look, it was life-changing.

That is why I am a huge fan of the show -- they help improve people's self esteem in a real way by making them truly look so much better (as opposed to convincing ourselves that we look fine, when actually... not so much.)

they were SO nice. the AP & director were absolutely wonderful and spent a lot of time with me. the AP had dinner with me almost every night, which certainly wasn't required. crew was great, and of course stacy/clinton/carmindy/nick were friendly and incredibly helpful.

What is that spray foundation that Carmandy uses? I've tried searching in the past to find out what that silver can is and can't. Phil, what is it? Did you walk away with a bottle? SHe uses it all the time.

At one time I thought it could be the one by Sally Hansen, it is in a silver can. you could buy it a CVS & return it if you do not like it.

OMG, I can just imagine the conversation.......

Well, you know that I love Disney. Well, there is a messageboard called DISboards.com and we kind of have this secret society of Disney obsessed individuals. Well, it's not just that we are a society of obsessed individuals, we are social too. We like to look for each other in the Disney parks and one of the ways that we "mark" ourselves is by wearing lime green clothing, CROCS, and taking these cute little paint chip cards from Home Depot and putting them all over everything, so that we might meet our fellow DIS'ers.........what? Why so lost? It's not like I'm in a cult or anything.....really....... Look, there is a time to be tacky every year, and it's called vacation!

Nope! I don't think she used any sort of spray on my fave, just a cream foundation dusted with powder. she gave me the foundation, but it's in a lovely jar with a design on it and nothing else, so i don't know what brand it is
