"What Not To Wear" - Show is on again May 29

Was it hard? Did you break down and cry like so many women do? Did they make you throw anything out that you are missing now???????

Sorry, I am being a bit impatient. It is all too cool!

Haha i wish i could answer you but i can't! You'll have to wait and see ;)

When can we buy our souvenir DVDs and get them autographed :cool2: ?

agnes!

Subscribing can't wait to see the show...

Do they really throw all your clothes out and not let you keep anything. I assume they go to charity or something.

I believe I can answer this one - yep, they go to charity. they don't actually trash them.

I'm glad to hear that they are so nice off camera. I asked a question earlier but it was so long ago, it's way back in this thread. Did you get to keep the clothes they put on the manniquins?? The ones where they show you what to shop for? I always wondered if they were bonus clothes.

The mannequins are just suggestions - you can go out and find the clothes they are wearing and purchase them, but you don't have to. if you choose to, they come out of your $5000.

:thumbsup2 Another Nick fan here, since I'm not really much of a makeup or clothes person!!!

Looking forward to seeing the episode. It's always so fun to see how friends and family react to the makeover. How exciting for you!

Subscribing because I love this show and I can't wait until you can release all the juicy behind the scenes details. And see your new look of course.

Hmmmm interesting, I've always wondered about that. I can't wait to see your show.

Subscribbing .... and another fan of the show.
Nick can cut my hair any day!:cool1:

Congrats!:thumbsup2

subscribing!
I love What Not to Wear, I watch it all the time. Actually a few days ago TLC had a WNTW marathon all day and I basically watched every episode.
Me and my sister want to nominate my mom for the show, because she's so bad. haha. She'd have a lot of disney stuff too, but that's not the problem with here. lol
Can't wait to see your show!

I have a question...was there any cost to you?

The reason I ask is that my sister would love to be on the show and I would love to nominate her. She has a rare medical condition which makes her unable to work. She has huge medical bills and they are struggling financially. Her wardrobe consists of old tshirts and sweats. I have considered nominating her, but assume that she would be responsible for taxes and some other expenses associated with the show and I just know that they wouldn't be able to afford it if she has to come up with any money to cover it.

They can barely pay their bills each month and had to file bankruptcy last year. So, any added expense would be impossible.

Anyway...congrats on the show. Hopefully I'll be able to watch it when it airs.

I'm so sorry for your sister. I'm sure if you nominated her, she'd get picked. I wonder if she'd have to pay taxes on the $5,000. If so, maybe some friends and family could pool money to pay for it. What a nice surprise that would be for your sister. You're a good sis.

Yes, you do have to pay taxes on the $5000. but, that is the ONLY money i will have to put out. everything else was reimbursed.
i hope your sister gets a chance to go on the show. it was really a cool experience. i like the above posters suggestion about family & friends chipping in for the taxes - i can't imagine it would be that much if split between several people.

Thanks. Maybe I'll talk to my other sister about it too and see what she thinks. I'm pretty sure we'd never get my parents to chip in to help cover the taxes, but maybe we could do it.

This is too cool!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Congrats Philadisney-- can't wait to see the episode!

My DD15 is a WNTW fanatic and keeps threatening to nominate me;)

Did I miss you're episode, did it air yet? :confused3
