What not to miss at Grand Floridian!

I have always wanted to stay at the GF and this will finally become a reality next fall! I rented points through David's and will be staying in a studio villa. I have been to Disney many times but have never stayed at the GF and have only passed through briefly. Please share any suggestions as to what we should be sure to see/do while staying there. It will be me, DH, and our two children (2 yr old and an infant).

I really love seeing the band play in upper level of the lobby!

I would plan on relaxing at the resort. Take the kids to the Splash Pad. It really is fun for little ones, and then head into the lobby. The Grand Pianist is there every afternoon, as is the Grand Orchestra later in the day. I also love seeing the kids participate in the Parasol Parade in the morning. This is a really cute event that highlights the hard working, kind mousekeepers onsite.

Your kids are young, so honestly the best part of the resort will be for you. Watch the Water Pageant and WIshes from the beach, go to the marina and take the boat ride to the MK. Stroll the grounds, or relax at one of the outdoor CS restaurants and just let the kids play.

I second the band and the pianist in the lobby. They're incredible! We stayed there for the first time last summer and our favorite part was just chilling in the lobby. We also loved going in the pool before Wishes and watching them from the pool. It's such an awesome hotel! We loved everything about it and we are staying there again this summer

dinner at 1900 Park Fare is a hoot! It is a buffet that is more about interacting with the characters than the meal. Such fun!
