Back when my DS9 was two and we made our first (with kid) WDW trip, we used a few nicknames for rides that have stuck.

Big Thunder Mountain is "The Zippy Train", and of course Spaceship Earth is "The Big Silver Ball".

He also kept calling the Country Bears "The Crunchy Bears".

What are your nicknames???

Not really a "NickName" - just an old name..... Tomorrow Land Transit Authority will always be "Wedway" for us.

The Tiki Room is "Tiki Torture"
and the Tea Cups are "Spin and Puke"!

at Epcot, Space Ship Earth is (you have to SING this one) " Tomorrow's Child!" - or according to my son, who was 2 at the Time... EpCot Ball!

Catrin

The TTA/Wedway has never been anything but "The Blue Thing" :lmao:

Spaceship Earth will always be "the golf ball" because the first time we took my nephew he was really into golf and he thought that was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. Hey, even Pal Mickey tells you how tall you'd have to be to play golf with it!

BTRR is Runaway Train. Dad started calling it that years ago and it stuck. There used to be a ride at Six Flags in NJ with that name-it was an wooden roller coaster and we loved it. I don't know if it's still there or they pulled it down to make room for new ones.

TTA will forever be PeopleMover.
SSE is the Golf Ball.
Country Bear Jamboree is Hilbilly Bears.

People Mover for us to
My son also calls Dinosaur - Countdown to Extenction

Spaceship Earth - The Golf Ball
TTA - The blue train by Buzz
Barnstormer - Goofy's Roller Coaster
Primeval Whirl - The Spinning Ride

For my 2 year old:

TTA= little monorail

Journey into imagination = Figment ride

TTA = The People Mover.

Primeval Whirl = Primeval Hurl

Spaceship Earth = Golf ball

BTM is "runaway train"
Splash mountain is "Zip-a-dee-do-dah"
HM is "halloween ride"

EE will forever be known as Avalanche Explosion since we overheard someone call it that on our last trip in May. (I posted the story on the funniest overheard things thread a while back.) We also call BTMM the Thunderstorm Train thanks to a nephew who could never remember the name on his first trip (he was 5).

Last time we were at DCA my daughter was too small to go on the California Screamin' rollar coaster. Instead we ended up having to go on Muholland Madness 10 times.

We had a park view from our room and could see California Screamin' from our room, every morning she would look out the window and say "I want to go on the little version of that"

To this day Mulholland Madness is known as "Little Version of That" at our house.

:thumbsup2 Same here :thumbsup2

When our DD was a tot, she called the Monorail --"Mommyrail". We still call it that 9 years later.

TTA used to be the People Mover... and Dinosaur used to be Countdown to Extinction... didn't they?

We don't have too many nicknames for rides. Except for my MIL, who calls everything "that horrible *insert scary ride here* thing", LOL!

when my dd was 3 she christened the Monorail the "Mamarail". She is now 23 and still refers to it as the "Mamarail"
