What new land would you like to see?

Lets say you got a call from imagineering today. They told you that they want to develop a new land for the Magic Kingdom and, knowing your passion for Disney Parks, they want you to come up with the theme. (OK, so this isn't likely to happen, but hey, it should make for a good thread).

My first suggestion would be a mythology themed land. I know that IOA has done this with the lost continent, but they hardly touched most of the Greek myths. There are a ton of great storys, all in the public domain, that they could leveraged for rides, restaurants and shops. Imagine a chase across Mount Olympus, or flying with Icarus to the sun, or joining Hercules on his adventures. The possiblities are endless.

So, what are your ideas? They don't have to be serious. For exampe, if you want to suggest a dental floss land, go ahead. Also, the new land doesn't have to be in the Magic Kingdom. You can put it in any park you like. (I have a great idea for MGM which I'll post later).

I know at one time at EPCOT, they had talked about adding Africa. But now, since they've added Animal Kingdom, I think that covered that.

I'd like to see them add a new "country" to EPCOT -- maybe Polynesia (although I know we have The Polynesian) or maybe Australia.

I think there should be a "darker" park to disney... ya know consisting of things like the haunted mansion AND tower of terror together..... it could be "the nightmare before christmas" land.... it would rock! I'd love to see lots more NMBC in the parks!

I would tell them not to add a new land and that to do so would just be wrong!

Now, dental floss land DOES sound exciting, but people with a heart condition would really have to avoid it - wouldn't want any fatalities. But, I'm thinking a Retro World in Epcot. Bring in all the old, much loved attractions. Mr. Toad, If You Had Wings, hey, maybe even bring COP over there and keep it open all the time.

I know I'd hang out there alot.:D

Ah, but going on that philosophy, Disneyland would never have had New Orleans Square, Tom Sawyer Island, Bear Country (now Critter Country) or Tune Town. MK would never have Tune Town Fair (not a big loss in my book) or Carribean Plaza (imagine MK without Pirates!). Disney Studios would never have gotten Sunset Blvd, which is arguably the best land in that park.

Walt was always adding new lands to his parks. The imagineers continued this tradition after his death. That which does not grow, stagnates.

I was rather fond of the idea myself. Just picture it. The Gingivitus Encounter, the Gummy Bear Jamborie, Floss Mountain, the hall of Pepsodents. This could worK ! :p

I've always hoped that they'd add Greece to the World Showcase. They could have a Greek restaurant (yummy!) and an attraction based on mythology.
