When I booked this date a couple of months ago it listed a day at sea on the schedule. Now All Seas (who I booked through) is listing Freeport as a stop. Has the Wonder decided to continue stoping at Freeport?
I was upset to lose our day at sea! Sure, the main area of Nassau is a dump... But, at least Nassau has other great activities and excursions to offer. Freeport offers fewer choices. To me, sitting at a dock all day, especially one as unnattractive as Freeport, I guess that is not my idea of 'cruising'.
I just checked Travelocity, and they are still showing all cruises for next year as 'day at sea'.... But, it has happened many times before that DCL has renewed their contract with Freeport and the Freeport stops then continue. I wished I had been aware of the possibility when I booked our cruise date. My TA never mentioned it.
I would call the DCL 800 number and ask them about that sailing to be sure.
I just don't understand why so many people think that Freeport is a dump!?! People should get off of the ship and go to Port Lucaya! It is gorgeous there and I would go back in a heartbeat! The taxi fare is very low and you feel much safer than in Nassau.
