What month did you get married?

We picked March because....... April and May was spring fieldwork time, June, July was hay making and cultivating time. August was county fair (my dad was the manager and busy much of the month. September was hay making and getting machinery ready for harvest and Oct and Nov was harvest time. Dec, Jan and Feb were too chancy for winter weather in Iowa so March was our choice!

We ended up cutting our honeymoon short by 3 days to come home and plant oats - and I thought we had covered all of our bases.

Feb we got married on Valentines day I am cheapo it is a great way to buy 1 gift for 2 occasions LOL. I always say happy valentinesaversary.

I think June then Oct are the most popular months to tie the knot I hear!!

We got married during the Eureeka Springs Corvette Rally...of course leave it to my dh to plan a wedding during a corvette festival...anything to do with cars acutally!!!

LOL...our next trip...WDW in a 1970's VW CAMPER BUS!! Yep We got one FOLKS!!!

Sink, fridge, and closet inside a tin can as big as my minivan!! He is a freak

All we need now is some big neon pink and green flowers and the Partridge Family 8 track...

(whatever, I am too young for that stuff, sorry!!)

not that this has anything to do with weddings, sorry!!

anyway we got married at the 1886 Crescent Hotel!! It is very pretty on the big hillside!! Very Cinderella Castle looking if you ask me!! Only older of course!!

It is rumored to be very haunted...

At the time DH worked in a retail setting. While we wanted to get married in November, there was no way he would have been able to get time off for the wedding and our honeymoon. So, we settled on January. We discovered it was a great time of year to see WDW! Empty!

We were married 23 years on October 23rd. I picked October because where we had our reception, Skylands Manor in New Jersey looks so beautiful in the fall. The foliage that year was amazing.

We got married in October because that was when DH had his leave from the Navy.

We met on Halloween 1997, so we thought it would be perfect to get married on Halloween. It was a perfect day, too, because it was unusually warm in Chicago the year we got married. Our reception wasn't totally Halloween-themed but we had small touches here are there, like Halloween candy on the tables, a Jack-o-lantern ice sculpture, and the bridal party all wore Mardi Gras masks when we were introduced. We also played music from Halloween and Nightmare before Christmas in the background. It was a great wedding.
