What modes of transit from CBR?

Can anyone tell me about travel around CBR? We will be staying there for the first time in August. From what I have read, I believe I would like to stay in Jamaica Bldg 45 or somewhere in Aruba. Is the only mode of transportation the bus system? Where does it take you? Can you make it to other resorts for touring etc? Any info would be helpful?

Yes, the only mode of transportation is by bus. You can get to any of the theme parks, water parks or Downtown Disney by bus. To get to another resort, you would have to go to a theme park or Downtown Disney and catch the bus for the other resort. We were there in December (in Jamaica 45, as a matter of fact) and found the bus services to be very efficient - I don't think we waited more than ten minutes for any bus. Jamaica 45 is very centrally located, just a short and pleasant walk across the footbridge to Old Port Royale.

I stayed in this building last Oct and loved it. Very convenient! The theming was very nice and a quick walk to the Port Royale. The bus was very quick. I do not think we ever waited more than 10 minutes. Have fun!

Thanks for the information. Just one addtional question...can any disney resort guest ride the boats, monorail, etc. from the Deluxe resorts to the theme parks. For instance, if we are touring GC and want to go to the parks, can we use all the modes of transport available at GC?

Yup! All modes of transportation are open to ALL disney resort guests. Just flash your pass/room key if you're questioned.
