What Mini Series Would You Like To See Again?

In Evergreen, the heroine's family are Jewish immigrants. She goes to work for an old-moneyed Upper-East Side family. She and the oldest son fall in love, have sex, she gets pregnant. Son's mom doesn't want the family gene pool blighted and blocks the relationship. i don't remember if the son knew that LAW's characer was pregnant. LAW's character marries someone else and years later runs into the early. I think David Dukes played the son (he was also the main love interest in 79 Park Avenue).

Ah, the Last Convertible brings back memories. Yes, poor boy goes to Harvard and gets befriended by wealthy boys. The leader of the pack falls for a girl, gets her pregnant and abandons her. Poor boy marries girl, and there's tension between the friends. I forget what catastrophic thing brings them all together.

...I'd like to see the following.

The 6 Wives of Henry the 8th. PBS...

I think this is on this Friday night (11/17) at 9pm on PBS. Actually it looks like the first part was on last Friday (11/10) and this Friday is the second part.

I think this is an updated version. The original with Keith Michell as Henry VIII is absolutely excellent!!!!

Ditto. I've seen this one and while good, it doesn't hold a candle to the original.

Patrick Stewart (Capt. Picard - Star Trek TNG) was in that show. He even had hair back in 1976! :teeth:

Also, my mom told me they made "Kane and Abel" by Jeffery Archer into a tv movie or mini-series - another book I loved and would love to see in "real life."
Kane and Abel was an excellent mini-series. Sam Neill was Kane and Peter Strauss was Abel. It was very well done and I'd like very much to see it again.

Someone mentioned The Captains and the Kings. I'd like to see that one again also. The Last Convertible was a good one too.

One not yet mentioned that I'd like to see again is Once An Eagle which was about two Army officers and followed them through their personal and military careers from WWI through the years and different wars. Of course, it didn't hurt for me that the star of the mini-series was Sam Elliott. :love2:

Oh I just thought of a couple more recent, besides Band of Brothers (I have to watch that every couple months or so, it is great). Also the Horatio Hornblower series is very very good, and Sharps Rifles with Sean Bean (about 10 years old).

Also, I just found a press release online from WNET (they own the Adams Chronicles). Seems they are attempting to put it on DVD. I can't wait (unless it costs too much)!

North and South

DH bought me the entire series parts 1, 2, and 3. Last year for Christmas. I want to sit and watch them so bad, but still haven't had the time :sad2:

Forgot to mention. My family liked North, and South so much.

My cousin's name is Ashton. Not that we wanted her to be like the character, but loved the name.

My DD name is Madylin. Spelled different, but that is when I started to really like the name.

Believe it or not my Dad's ex-SIL(my former aunt) was an extra in that movie.

Surprisingly I haven't seen anyone mention "Into the West" The recent min-series on TNT. I loved it...my MIL's SO is NA so I was really into the NA parts.
I remember when "Scarlett" came on tv. I was so excited because GWTW is one of my favorite movies. I thought it was incredible as a kid....I watched it not too long ago...it was terrible!!! Besides using the characters it didn't even portray the book at all :confused3

Rich Man Poor man was my favorite all time mini series.

I have always wanted to see if I could get a video of it.

has anyone ever gotten it?
