What meals and snacks do you love at DL

The hot link corn dogs from DCA. I also remember an icee I got in either Adventure Land or Frontierland. It was the best thing I have ever had. I was of course pregnant at the time, so that MIGHT have had something to do with that. :lmao:

I'll pay someone to be in their family so I can go with them to Big Thunder Mountain BBQ with them and get cornbread. :wave2::)

You got it!! I have heard great things about the Big Thunder Mountain BBQ and really want to try it , but it is just me and my 7 year old nephew, is it worth it for just the two of us? Will there be to much food? Do they have smaller portions? I will probably still go, but I am just curious.

Oooh,I haven't heard about the mint chocolate popcorn before. Where can I find that?

The candy store on MAIN STREET !:thumbsup2 (it used to be everywhere else in Disney) One year they stop selling them & did not know when it would return. :sad1: Found the popcorn @ WDW last Christmas :yay: then brought back a few extra bags home!
Renewed our AP's this March and found them on Main Street once again :dance3: .....Happiness!!! :grouphug: :flower3:

The last two years we've gone we have eaten at Blue Bayou and had the Monte Cristo. It's delicious and we love the atmosphere at Blue Bayou. I highly recommend you go!

After a long day of travel we spent the afternoon at DL. Enjoyed our fried chicken at the Plaza for a late lunch, hubby had a peanut butter cookie from the Mainstreet Bakery, and DS 'Donald' had his first Mickey Ice Cream bar of the trip.

Michigan to CA is a 5 hour flight so it's early to bed for us tonight and DCA for early entry tomorrow. May be a bread bowl of soup in my future and breakfast at Flo's.

We're annual pass holders and frequent Disneyland often. It's a little of a family joke to just stop at DL while driving thru and pick up a Chimichanga and ride the little mermaid at CA. Then head over to DL for Mickey beignets. :-).

An absolute must and hidden treasure are the Mickey Beignets at the Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square. The mint juleps are good as well.

My favorite too!!

I also bring ziplock bags so I can bring my Dad a turkey leg. LOL, I get it on our last day in the park (I usually schedule a later flight and hit up DL in the morning -- also I live in Northern CA, so the flight isn't that long.) and bring it home. He reheats it in the oven. He loves those.

I love the fried green tomato sandwich at Hungry Bear. Also must get the Banyan skewer and veggie skewer at Bengal BBQ. And my favorite snack which I was unable to find at all at WDW- mint choc chip ice cream in a waffle cone.

I can't believe on all these threads about food that nobody mentions Mickey Mouse rice Krispy treats. That's a travesty because those are the best treat EVER! Lol!

I'm a HUGE fan of the Mickey rice krispie treat! That's my #1 must have treat when I visit Disney!

Love the corn dogs! If you want chips with it, get it at the Little Red Wagon. If you want it with fries, get it at the Stage Door Cafe in Frontierland.
I love the fresh caramel corn at DCA. I prefer it over the one in EPCOT. Usually get it when it's warm and chewy. Like when it cools off and gets crispy.
I like the 5 cheese ravioli at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta in DCA.
When I get a soup or salad in the Pacific Wharf Cafe, I ask to have the "filling" separate. I can't eat all that bread, but I save some of it and have it for snack or breakfast later. It gets too soggy otherwise.
Big fan of the fried chicken at Plaza Inn. Also like to get the pasta with half Alfredo/half marinara sauce. I don't mix it up, I just like the 2 different tastes.
Bacon wrapped asparagus at Bengal BBQ is good, but kinda pricey.
Big fan of Beignets, whether Mickey shaped or not. If you get them at Cafe Orleans, they come with raspberry and vanilla dipping sauces. Yumm

Also I've been gravitating towards Storyteller's Cafe for lunch, to get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks. Everything I've had there has been good.

Thanks everyone - such great suggestions - We have taken a lot of notes and can't wait to try all the yummy suggestions.

That's a great idea - I can never finish the bread bowl and it kills me to waste it. I will do this next time!

My favorite treat - the Fudgemallows at the Candy Palace. Yum yum.

I was just thinking we will do that next time too. I now have food allergies and think it will be easier for me to do more TS and my friend has long been telling how much she likes going over there for lunch. I haven't been in a long time.
