What map do you use to plan your trip?

I've been told that the customized maps that Disney sends out are too large for "every day" touring use at the parks.

I'm planning my first trip and would like to have something that I can refer to that shows where the attractions/venues are so I can plan my daily intinerary before I arrive.

Anyone have a link that they can post of something like this? Or maybe someone's scanned in the map that the give away at the parks?

cheers,
:santa:

You can still use the customized maps to help plan your days. But when you get to your resort "if you're staying on property" or when you get to the parks you can pick up a map that you can carry around with you through the parks.:thumbsup2

Happy planning.

We prefer the maps from our Passporter. The Disney are pretty to look at but not always easy to read. The Passporter ones are color code for attarctions, resturants, etc. and smaller to carry. This last trip, trimmd down the maps and then "laminated" two park maps back-to-back with clear contact paper. Folded in half, they would easily fit the pocket of my cargo shorts which kept them handy.

Thx a mint for the replies.

WDW Peak Seasons - the link is fab - thx SO much for providing it. I saw some pics of those maps on google searches but the resolution was so poor I couldn't make things out. That website is great. One thing I can relax about now...LOL!

One more map question - sorry...

On the customized maps it shows all the locales on the map and the ones I selected are darkened blue dots; the attractions I haven't selected have white background dots.

Is this how the map will be made for me? Or do only the selected dots get printed on the customized map?

Thx if anyone can answer this - sorry it's not clear to me on their map page.

cheers,

We ended up ripping all the maps out of my passporter and carrying them with us too. I found them so much easier to get around the parks with then the ones with the Times Guide that you get at the enterance. We carried all of them since we had park hoppers and threw the plan out the window in favor of spontinaity so we never know where we would end up.

We always bring home extra maps with us, and somebody we know always brings us back some maps, so we just use the regular park maps to plan. :)

I just can't believe how kind everyone is to newbies on these boards - no flaming or telling me to "do a search" - so very welcoming. Thx a mint Dan Murphy for your greetings!

cheers,
