What makes you happy at WDW?

Pulling into our resort

The meatball sandwich at Earl of Sandwich

Walking backwards down Main Street on the way out so you can watch the castle change colors

Not having a care in the world except whether to get ice cream or popcorn as a snack

Getting married at the Wilderness Lodge and knowing that we spent our happiest day on earth at our favorite place in the world!

This is going to sound corny but I've always liked their positive portrayal of the future. Things like carousel of progress and the TTA, Spaceship Earth, Universe of Energy, the old Horizons and GM exhibits. I know some of these things have disappeared since I was last there, but that was what used to stick with me the most. The news programs usually leave me feeling scared for the world my kids will face, but Disney (Epcot in particular) made me feel excited for them instead.

Other than that I would say the mickey shaped ice cream treats! :rotfl:

The smell of popcorn as you first walk in. Reliving my childhood memories. The great attention to detail the imagineers display. Discovering the little things I've never noticed before. I love the fact that no matter how hot it is, how annoying the crowds are, and how badly the person smells right in front of you the in the 60 min. waiting line, you don't seem to mind all that much because you truely are in the happiest place on earth.

I have sooooo many pictures of those purple signs... Just about every time I've entered the parks, I think.

I love the atmosphere, and appreciate it more and more as I get older. People are all smiling. Everything is clean. There isn't a dead leaf or blade of grass anywhere in the parks (or if there is I haven't seen it). It's magic.

The first time I see the castle at the beginning of each trip...I usually cry! (I know I'm a little old for that, but it's the magic working on me!...y'all understand!)

Knowing that I'm in the Happiest Place on Earth and that I can walk around all day with a beautific smile on my face because other people understand why I'm so happy.

I love that I can act like a kid knowing that it is fully acceptable because we are all kids at WDW/DL.

Entering the Kingdom with all of the sights and scenery, I usually end up welling up a bit. It is knowing I am in the happiest place on earth and leave all of my cares where they belong, not with me in WDW! :flower:

I especially love all the "firsts":

Arriving at the airport and knowing we have days and days stretching ahead of us.

Driving through the gates with Mickey on the left and Minnie on the right.

Checking into a Disney resort (any Disney resort!)

Going to the MK when it opens, getting a cup of tea for me and coffee for my husband, and sitting down at a cheerful yellow bistro table - with a perfect view of the castle - to people watch and let time slow down for a few minutes. ::MinnieMo

It makes me happy to go to walk into a park on our first morning and know that we have a whole Disney vacation waiting! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
