What Makes a Great Day Spa?

I know if I want to find out about the great day spas in Orlando, I can ask Pete. But I'm wondering what makes a great day spa to find locally? A friend and I are having a girl's day and we've been to our local "day spas" which you simply go in, have your treatment, and leave. I am interested in locating somewhere we can enjoy a couple of hours in addition to treatments. Unfortunately, there isn't a Mandara Spa local to us. I've been pouring over google but don't know what to search for. Any suggestions?
