Well, I think I have finally converted my DH to Disney! On our wedding/dismoon last month he traded his Harley hat for a Mickey Mouse hat!!! :) I consider that a huge accomplishment!! That was only a month ago and last night he said this to me:"I think it's time to schedule another cruise"!!! After I picked my chin off the floor.... it got me thinking :) I am so excited. I've been on DCL 4 times and absolutely love it. He went w/us on our last cruise Dec04 and really enjoyed it. He's in the military so he's been all over the world w/work but never really traveled for fun... I'm a total Disney fanatic... he also said we should check into DVC! So, I was wondering... what made you love Disney??? I love the detail...how they try to make everything so perfect!!

I fell in love with all things Disney when I was a kid watching Walt on the Wonderful World of Color (Disney).

When we moved to Florida in 1972 and made our first visit to WDW I was thrilled. I couldn't wait to go back again - and I still feel that way with my DH and kids all these years later!

I love it when CM's ask, "Are you having a good time?" My standard answer is, "How can you not have a good time at WDW?" :sunny:

I went to Disney for the first time when I was three. I've been hooked since. I don't really know what made me fall in love with it then, but now I love it because it's ok to act like a kid there. It's where we all have fun, even if at home we're going through hell. Even after my parents split we still took vacations there, and it was where we were able to totally get away for a week. Mom didn't have any school work with her (she's a teacher). We were able to spend all our time together. Despite the crowds, the heat, the lines, it's a place just to have fun. There's so much attention to detail that it's just incredible. There's something for everyone, rides, shows, different pools, different styles of hotels.
I don't think there's one single reason why I love it, but a whole lot of reasons, including some I probably still can't put a finger on.

For me, it's the total relaxation. Once you're at your resort, there's nothing to worry about - transportation to the parks is taken care of. I know that the parks have something for everybody, so I don't have to listen to my boys whining about being bored. (They hated Niagara Falls: "It's just a bunch of water - what's the big deal?" :sad2: ) If I have a question about anything, a friendly Cast Member is only too happy to help me. It's like the outside world doesn't exist any more and I'm now living in a happy place where everybody gets along.

I think Disney was implanted in my brain when I was a baby and my mom took us to Disneyland (we used to live in Southern CA), I've always loved it and it was always the highlight of my visits with my Dad each summer. We're taking our DD who will be 1 to Disneyland in a few weeks, and we're thinking about a disney cruise and trip to WDW next year.

My wife loves Disney, but she still thinks I'm crazy :teeth:

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking!! (we even went to Niagara Falls, too!)
Perfect answer! It's the feeling! :wizard:

For me, the same thing. Loved to watch WWOD on TV. LIVED FOR it really. I mean, there weren't a whole lot of choices back then, so it was the highlight of the week for many of us. :happytv:

I think my mom liked Disney stories, movies, and tv shows, and started me on it when I was a tot. I went to DLR once as a child--biggest family trip we ever had. When DW and I got married we went to DLR again for our 1 year anniversary. In the late 70's we moved to Florida and on our first WDW trip, it rekindled every bit of interest I ever had in Disney and I haven't been the same since. Thanks Walt. :earsboy:
