What kind of trouble can they get into?

They should nip this in the bud. Talk to the school and get their parents more actively involved. It can get really bad very quickly.

megan meier?

I wasn't familiar with the case but I searched about it on wiki. It made me sick, that poor girl.:sad2:

what are some of the things they've posted?

megan meier?

Megan Meier was a girl who didn't really have many friends. She created a myspace and became really good friends with another member. Later on, that member said bad things to her, and said that they weren't friends any more. Megan Meier then killed herself :sad1:

I don't think your school can do anything about it, if all this stuff happened outside of school. That's how my school is at least.

If your friend really wants to know who did it, she could track information back to a computer I believe. I'm not 100% sure though.

I agree with everyone else, the school should definitely be notified. This is harassment, and if it goes any further (which is usually the case), it could easily become identity theft. Plus that causes alot of stress on thee people suffering from the harrassment and it hurts other peoples feelings too.

Depends on what they wrote.
If they were really bad things; then they are, as my dad put it, royally screwed.
Tell the school.
It can be classified as harassment.
If they left threatening comments than they can get in even deeper trouble.

The girls deleted V's myspace. But L's is still out there, and active :/
L is going to wait to see if they do anything else before notifying our school.
I'm so involved in this because I'd be scared something like this would happen to me you know? The internet is scary..
