What kind of slippers do you buy for your mother in law?

She is in her late 50's and has what you'd call problem feet. She wears slippers around the house all the time and needs some that actually have some support or something as well as being cushy and comfortable.

The $10 kind just don't cut it. I want to buy her a REALLY good pair this year but what kind should I get?

Oh, she's also a size 10ish...not too easy to find.

I'm no help with advice about slippers. I'm in my 50's but I don't wear slippers, I just wear my birkies for everything.

Try These:

Experience the world’s most comfortable slippers—now with a rugged hard sole that’s designed for wear around the house or for quick trips outdoors. The inner sole is filled with revolutionary Tempur-Pedic material, which molds itself through body heat to the contours of your feet for custom support. As you sink into this cool, breathable material, these slippers cradle your feet for exceptional comfort.
PRICE: $65.00

These have to be the most comfortable footwear in the world, and they are hard soled.

Oprah had her "Favorite Things" episode the other day and one of the items was slippers. They can be microwaved or refrigerated to soothe your feet. They looked really nice. They were $55 I think. Go to Oprah.com and they have info on where to buy.

I wear cheap slippers, but Norm Thompson carries a wide variety of high quality slippers. I've always been satisfied with their other products.

Thanks Guys!

I will follow some of the links and see what I come up with!

Betz: I hate to be too picky, those sound perfect but she has complained to me in the past about open back slippers, she wants them closed on the heel too.

Any more recommendations?

Check LL Bean and Land's End, they have some nice mocassin type slippers enclosed for $50 price range which I would NEVER pay that much for slippers - lol! They do look nice though.

Check the Walking Company and Birkenstock. Expensive, but typically VERY comfortable, with good support.
