do you print photos on it too?

I have to replace my HP printer, I use it for regular printing, copying, scanning and some photo printing. but something is wrong with it, and I think its time for a new printer.

I was thinking of the kodak printer that they advertise that uses less ink. they had it on celebrity apprentice a couple years ago. I don't know if anyone remembers it.
I can't remember the name of the printer though or the model!
or maybe all of their printers supposedly use less ink, I looked at their website and that is how it looked.

I have a Canon. I like it because it has seperate ink cartridges for all the colours. I use it for all my printing, including photos. I find it works very well, and I am fussy about print quality.

Does it use a lot of ink when you use it for photos? how is it cost wise replacing all the cartridges.
i have heard the canons do a nice job

We have an older HP LaserJet 8000dn that does an awesome job with all of our day-to-day B&W printing.

We also have a Canon PIXMA iP6600D that does a very good job with the bulk of our color needs, including photos. The printer uses six ink cartridges.

We buy the toner and ink for both of these from Lasermonks.com. Its just about cheaper there than anywhere else, their service is fast, and the proceeds supports good works.

Finally, we have a Canon iPF5000 for wide format color printing. This hoss prints photos as big as 17x22 from the tray and will accept rolls of media to allow the printing of banners or huge panoramic pics. This printer uses twelve ink cartridges that run around $80 each to replace. Depending on what you print, they do last a while.

We would not go with anything but a Canon for color printing; HP for B&W laser.

I have two printers.

One is a HP Laserjet 1300 which is B&W and I use it for most printing. It does up to 28ppm which is necessary since I do income taxes part time and the returns I do are very thick. A cartridge is about $75 and does about 6,000 pages.

The other is an HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi MFP. This includes being a stand-alone fax machine, color or B&W copier and color or B&W printing as well as scanning. And it has both document feed as well as flat bed for scanning, copying, and faxing. The color is extremely sharp and as it is laser it will not run if it gets wet. The machine is under $400 and a recent purchase of a set of four cartridges (3x1400 pages color, 2200 pages B&W) ran just under $245 including sales tax and shipping.

My favorite printer in our house is 5'11" and has brown hair/blue eyes. I married him 18 years ago this Sunday. ;)

We use our printer a lot for our business. We had a Canon 850 for a year before it started printing black streaks. Easier to replace it than fix it, so we got the equivalent model, the 860. It went through the ink supply in one week! We packed it up and sent it back to Amazon. No more Canons for us!

We have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 now and after 2 months of daily use we just replaced the black ink for the first time.

we have two. Mine is an epson r200, no longer made. It prints beautifully, not quick but I don't mind as long as it does what it is supposed to do. It has the capability to print on discs, not lightscribe but actually print color on the front. My son has a canon pixma ip1700, it came with his pc. Mine is the better printer, hands down, his tends to bleed colors.

I don't know anything about that printer, but I know two things: Printers included for free when you buy a computer are typically not good ones. Colors will bleed horribly if the paper settings are incorrect.

I have two printers. One is a photo printer. The photo printer is Lexmark P350 and the other printer is HP 6980.

I use the printer that my employer bought for me...I think it's an HP Officejet 6500 or something like that (I'm not at home right now to check). It looks to do an excellent job for everything I've used it for, but I haven't tried printing photos on it yet.

we have a kodak one. I haven't printed pictures on it, but I've replaced ink once since we got it in december. buying both cartridges for $22 was nice too. It prints pretty quickly, but obviously not as fast as our old Konica laser printer.

ETA: I like the copier and scanner options in it. Anytime I need a quick copy, I don't have to worry about Staples being open.

Here's mine. Was kind of tricky hooking up to the computer and it uses a lot of ink.

I ended up getting an Epson nx415.....I was reading some reviews and this one got a decent review, especially for photos, and it was on sale at Staples with $30 instant savings. it was 99 minus the 30 so only $69.

I printed documents and so far so good, I also printed one photo and it came out beautiful, just like from a photo lab.

the only complaint I think i have is when it first starts to print its loud, like a clunk til the paper gets thru, then when its actually printing its quiet, but that clunk startled me at first.......LOL

I just hope I didn't get myself into another expensive ink replacement situation :)

try supermediastore for ink. If you sign up for the newsletters, you get deals sent to you. I can get enough for 2 or 3 changes for around $45, usually with free shipping.

I have the kind that is about to be drop kicked if it doesn't get its act together pronto! Seriously, it's an HP brand printer. DH spent about $150 for it and it's a piece of junk. It goes through ink like water and has paper jams on a regular basis :confused3. It is the worst printer we've ever owned. We also have an Epson printer that we like.:thumbsup2 It has been very reliable. We've owned Canon and other Epson printers in the past that were reliable. It's back to Epson for us.:thumbsup2

We have a dell color laser printer and I love it. We bought it refurbished about 3 years ago and we have yet to replace any toner in it. It always works and never a problem. You can buy printer paper for color laser printers now too. I would never go back to a ink jet again. I think we paid around $350 for the printer and hav eonly needed to add paper.
