We are having a very casual welcome/pool party at the All-Star Sports the night before our wedding. We want to keep it on the in-expensive side but don't know what to do for food. We are all flying in and not renting a car, so I know that severely limits our options.

We are having a Hawaiian theme. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

that's what we are trying to decide! ha. :) We don't know which would be a better route to go.

Catering options at the All-Stars might be limited to what they sell in thei rfood court, but I could be wrong. You could always call out for pizza delivery, or see if a sandwhich shop will deliver to the resort. Maybe Subway or Panera. Or you could always call around to a few resturants in the area an dsee if they will cater and deliver the food to you. Otherwise you might need to get a cab to take you to pick up the food. Sorry I don't have any better ideas.

I'm sure you could get some place to deliver to you. You might want to check out restuarants in the area that deliver. That would probably be the cheapest way to have food there.

I really like this idea!! :thumbsup2

Papa Johns has a catering menu that looks pretty reasonable, I'm guessing the location on Apopka-Vineland road would be the closest.

My favorite food is pizza......it's not really Hawaiian but we have fun plates, napkins, cups, etc. that could make it a "luau" type. haha.

Plus, who doesn't like pizza? :lovestruc

I think it all depends on where you want to have it (pool, room, food court tables) and how many people. Is everyone staying at the All Stars?

Unfortunately, Disney won't cater an unofficial event like this and if you're thinking of doing outside catering, I'd make sure that Disney allows it first. Also if you're thinking of including decorations or something maybe check it out first, I wouldn't want stuff you spent good money on to go to waste. Maybe you could call management at the All Stars?

Just another thought . . . if you have a small group, you could take a towncar out to dinner at any local spot, or even meet up at another resort for dinner.

Finally, a last thought . . . I am doing a really inexpensive welcome party through Rainforest Cafe. Their prices are amazing and the catering manager who worked with me on my event is so nice and on top of things! I can send you the menu I received if you want.

I am surprised you were able to have an inexpensive party through RainForest Care. I ate there one time and their prices seemed high but I'd be willing to take a look at their menu. Thanks!
