What kind of Crocs to try?

Have a WDW trip planned for April Spring break and after all the praise DW, DD, and myself are willing to try the crocs(even found a 20% off code for shoebuy.com). Anyways, I would like to know if the sizes run a little big or smaller than normal sneakers. Also, what is the difference in the islanders, cayman, and beach footwear. Is one kind considered more comfortable or is it just a matter of style preference?

The Crocs I just got from Shoebuy.com are Cayman. I generally wear 8 1/2 and got the 8 and they fit just fine.

I finally broke down for my WDW trip in January and bought some crocs for my husband and myself. I always thought they were the ugliest looking things and they look like your feet would get sticky in them. But I read SO many rave reviews, and it was supposed to rain the weekend we were there and I didn't want to walk around in wet socks and shoes all day, so I gave in!

I wore them everyday! It never did rain but they were so comfy. When I tried them on I tried on the mediums and the larges. The mediums fit just right, if not a tad bit too small. The larges seemed huge! I went with the larges though because from what I read, and the sales lady's comments, it seemed the right thing to do. I thought it would feel odd having my foot swimming around inside of them but it was actually a nice feeling and it felt like I wasn't even wearing shoes. So I am glad that I went with the larger size. They were loose and comfy and it got surprisingly cold at the end of January and so I wore socks with them 2 of the days. And since I had the larger shoe the sock didn't make them too tight. My husband never ended up wearing his but he wears them around the house now to take out the trash or go to the basement and get hte laundry.

I am not sure which ones we bought but they are the common ones that have the strap around the back which you could move to the front so you could wear the shoe like a clog. On my left foot the croc started rubbing one spot on the top of my foot and I did get a blister so it helped changing around the strap. I just got a bandaid and wore it over the blister and it helped. I would point out that getting a blister seems to contradict my statement that the shoe was comfy, but oddly I get a blister on that spot of my foot with tennis shoes as well. Also, during the day when we were walking alot I had the strap around the back of my foot but then at dinner it was nice to move it to the front and slip my feet out of them while I ate....time to let my feet breathe :)

The Beach style run S M L XL etc. The Caymen run 6 7 8 9 10 etc. I don't know about the Islanders. I have 3-4 pair of the Beach style and I sized up. According to the bottom of the shoe, the M is a womens 8,which is what I wear, but I am more comfy in the L. I hear Caymen runs a bit closer to size.

Hi
I think the Croc Scutes are the most comfortable pair. They're a slide. And the Beach are more comfortable than the Caymens to me. They feel softer to walk on. Also, if you do get a shoe that rubs on the top of your foot, you can
put the shoe in the dryer for about a minute. Then pull up on the top of the shoe. I had to do this and it fixes it immediately. No more rubbing.

If you go to the crocs website (crocs.com), then there is a sizing chart that you can print off. We found it to be a huge help when purchasing my DD's crocs. Word of warning: If you put the crocs in the dryer, don't do it for too long b/c they can shrink! If this happens, have someone with a larger foot put them on and wear them until cool. They'll regain most of their sizing when cooled. (Can you tell I've had experience with this? )

BTW- Wonder if we could get a little Crocs smilie on these boards. Seems there's enough talk of them that we could decorate our messages up!

After fighting it for some long I decided to finally buy Crocs for DD, DS and myself for our upcoming WDW trip. We have Disney Crocs. DD has pink and white ones. DS red and black ones and for me black and red ones.

I was bummed because they make the lime green Disney ones for kids but not for adults.

I wore them out the other day and they are great. I can't wait to try them out in WDW next month.
