What items ate into your $1500 deposit?

For financial planning purposes (Goodness knows after a Disney Wedding, I need it!), can you past Disney Brides tell me what things ended up counting against your deposit? I can only think of beverages...are there any other expenses that cropped up for you?

I was worried about the same thing, but we are actually getting back $2,300! I was really surprised, but we were actually under on our BOC!

I got extra money back too.

Additional guests would. I had to make the final payment 1 month before the wedding (I think it is earlier now), but my final guest count wasn't due until 3 days before the wedding. If you have even 1 additional guest from the day you made your final payment you will have an additional meal, drink, and place setting for them.

Just want to add: Make sure Disney's accounting department knows which card to credit your refund to if more than one person's card was used to pay for any portion of the wedding.

Oooh...I guess that's a piece of the puzzle I'm missing. I just assumed they'd be sending me a check. In my case, I paid for half the cost with my Disney Visa, and I'll be paying the second half by Cashier's Check. How and when do you specify how you want them to refund you?

The method of the refund is based on the payment method you use for your final payment to Disney. So if you use a card to pay off the balance, they will only refund the card, and if you use a check, they *should* give you a check.

I waited until after the wedding to ask about this, and by then it was too late. I would talk to your WP about it now just in case it is possible to choose how your want your refund.
