As DVC commandos, we've probably spent as much time or more at the WDW resort as any other people in the world. And every family, usually has that one person who either is, or thinks they are, an expert on something within WDW. Whether it's the fastest way to ride the triple mountains at MK, the best restaurant to eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner at or ins and outs of the bussing system. Most of us have an area of expertise when it comes to WDW.

So don't be shy...what's yours? :sunny:

I'm a golf course nut. I've played all the courses at Disney multiple times and I am very good at planning our golf excursions. I know the right courses to play under any given conditions, the times of day, the rates. I know the holes on the courses and how often to expect the beverage lady. And I'm breaking my 7 year old DS in on the Lake BV course in March (his first 18 holes at WDW)....I'm all goose pimply. :cool1:

Take care!!! :wave2: :bounce: :wave2:

Ours is knowing when to go to which parks to have the least impact from the crowds. We also are pretty good at figuring out what restaurants to go to at least busy times so we don't always have to get a PS.

We pride ourselves in knowing when to go. Our friends go when it is jam packed and have long waits to get on the rides and even into the restrooms.
We go when everything is pretty much a walk on.

Well, I first went to WDW in November 1971, before I even turned 30. Can't count how many times have been there since. So if I have any expertise maybe it's a little knowledge of 'how it use to be'. Some of the rides/attractions that have long since gone.

How many here have never ridden '20,000 leagues under the sea', or the 'sky-ride', just a couple of attractions long gone. Who remembers 'A,B,C,D,E' tickets? At Epcot, what were Innoventions East/West originally named? I actually remember that the Contemporary really seemed...er, ah, ...'futuristic'.

I also know a little bit about DVC-Points and Planning..... :earboy2:

Relaxing while having fun.

Getting picked to do things in shows - bird show (been on stage with my camera twice, done the dollar bill twice) Indy (on stage twice but still want to be the ones that dies) etc.

Getting into the Hot Seat (twice so far, but I was #1 three times when I was a TDS CM, so it would be 5). Just haven't mastered the 15 questions yet!

Impersonating the Fairy Godmother and having a blast doing it!

Where's a lightsaber smilie when you need one?

My own Disney area of expertise is "the comprehension of the blatantly obvious" and "not suffering fools gladly."

I like trying to make the most of the fast pass system. I like to get fastpasses when we first arrive, right when the parks open, and the rides are still walk ons. Then I always try to get more as soon as the window opens.
Always, always, always ride Peter Pan on a fast pass, you even have to wait in the fast pass line.

Here's my favorite: Over The Falls (4.5MB Broadband Recommended)

I'd consider myself a pro at doing WDW on the cheap (moneywise). We stayed in a 1BR at VWL and only ate out once (Hoop dee doo). All other meals were in the room ... and probably more nutricious.

DH considers himself a pro at getting anywhere at WDW with the least amount of effort and complications.

My area of expertise is definately the resorts. I've always had kind of an obsession with the WDW resorts. Now that I am a DVC member, I will be learning all I can about them.

I am a PRO at spending far more money than I ever imagined in far less time than I ever thought possible!!! If anyone needs tips on this...just call me!!!!

;)

P.S. Rinkwide...you are SOO cool!!!

DH and I are natives and have been going since 1972. We're pretty good at using transportation routes to our advantage, parking for day trips and knowing when and where to eat before the crowds.
We both remember E and all the other tickets, as well as how much the subs leaked every time we rode 20K Leagues. DD12's first trip we have photos of her on the sky buckets.

Bill...DH says Innoventions used to be the Communicore. I have one for you. Do you remember a swan boat ride near Cindy's castle? DH swears he remembers this, but no one has confirmed it.

Rinkwide, you remind me so much of my DH! He thinks he has to film EVERYTHING. He filmed us on The Tower of Terror. First time, he got by with it. Second time, he was asked to not do it again. It is so much fun watching it now!
He also filmed us on Splash Mountain while riding, and the Dinosaur ride. And then he got this bright idea of filming the pictures at the end of each ride. He will film anything , unless of course he is told not to.
Now, my DS has nailed the impersonation of Stitch. Of course, I think he is just the best one out there. And he mastered eating the MudSlide (I think that was what it was called) at Beaches and Cream all by himself.

OH, and DH has a way of getting picked out in the crowd. He got picked at SeaWorld for the pre-show of the Cirque Soleil (sp) and then right after got chosen for the Polynesian show to do a hula dance. Then, he got singled out at MGM for a funny skit three girls were doing.
Honestly, I think they can pick out the white men out of the crowd that can't dance. hehehee. ;)
I pride myself on finding bargains. Just did a contract for BWV for $80 p/pt so I don't know if I can say that anymore after reading what you guys have bought them for in the past!
