What is your thoughts on Wispering Canyon

We ate there last Wednesday night. We LOVED it! Our server was Raphael, and he was wonderful! The food was great, the service great... we are planning on doing it again next year. We did see several people who looked uncomfortable at the antics going on... but we loved it!!

Well, we ate there in August 2007 for lunch and I thought the food was quite good - one of the better meals of the trip, quality-wise. None of us got the skillet, if that makes any difference. (I'm generally disappointed in the quality of food throughought WDW so for me to say we had a very good meal is the exception.)
There weren't a whole lot of antics when we went as the restaurant was maybe 1/4 to 1/3 full, but there were some laughs. It helps if you have an idea ahead of time that there will be shouting, stomping, singing, and maybe even a few items thrown around. If you don't like that sort of thing, pick somewhere else to eat.
We enjoyed seeing the lodge as we had family staying there at the time. We were supposed to have stayed there too but our airline ticket prices went up before we could finalize our trip, and we decided to buy the tickets and cut down on the resort, so we stayed at POFQ instead. Overall, we were glad we didn't spend the extra money for WL. It was nice to visit but we preferred FQ.

Horrible experience in Sept. Hostess could not find our reservation in the system and after waiting for 40 minutes to be seated with 2 4 year olds, we left as she kept telling DH just a few more minutes and I'm sure we can seat you if we can work you in. Manager offered only, sorry, don't know what you want us to do since you really don't have a reseration here. DH even had our printed confirm no. We'll try other restaurants in January but this restaurant will never be one to make our list again.

We really enjoyed it, we ate there twice on your visit. The atmosphere is really nice, the resort is beautiful and it was fun. The food was good too ~ I say give it a try:)

Don’t go there if you don’t want to be annoyed by the servers. The food was great and a little fun making at the guest expense was fine but when the server keep making jokes while calling you grandma and grandpa which got old quick. It wasn’t done in a tone that just we could hear, but those around us could enjoy and could take part…and they did. My wife wanted to walk out during the lunch and I had a hard time talking her out of it. No more Whispering Canyon for us with all the good places to eat at WDW.

:sad1: :headache:

We really wanted to try Whispering Canyon on our last trip and were delighted to get dinner reservations. We should have saved the DDP credits. The food was very average. We all shared the all-you-care-to-eat skillet and it was ok, but not worth trying again. I was glad to have the opportunity to see Wilderness Lodge and we took the boat to Magic Kingdom afterwards and that was fun, but as far as the meal goes ... Once was enough for us.

My son loves the antics. My husband, daughter and I - not so much. I know that that's part of the atmosphere. But if it wasn't so rowdy, I think I would go there more often. The food is actually pretty good. If I just looked at the menu, I would not even bother. The reason we tried it the first time was because we were staying at Wilderness Lodge and it was very convenient. I am surprised how much I enjoyed the pulled pork. I don't even like pork.:confused3
