My husband helped pick several of our ADR and his first selection was for WCC.
I'm having some second thoughts about this one. So I've read from the boards that it's a fun dining environment if you have a good server that really gets into the action but how's the food?

My DH loves eating breakfast here. I love their western omelet. Breakfast is usually a little quieter that lunch and dinner though, so if you want a relaxed meal there, try to at least make ressies for the earliest seating before it gets too crowded.

Our ADR is for dinner - I believe at 6:15. I guess I should let DH have this one. He's so excited about it and that's so not like him.

We had dinner there in October and the ribs were great. The chicken is chiken. It was fun and we all enjoyed it. The bottomless milk shakes are also very good.

It really is a fun place to go. The food at dinner was "just OK" to us. The antics are what makes it worth going at night. Lunch is no fun at all, but the food is decent. Very little antics happen at lunch. Now, breakfast is the best. The breakfast skillet is one of our families favorite meals at Disney. The antics are also great at breakfast.

Big WL fans, we've enjoyed WCC several times. Definitely you should go once to enjoy the antics - some of the servers are awesome and the more you play along, the more they fool around. We've been there for 2 birthday dinners and they have given DS(16) as much attention as DD when she was 6.

If you savor privacy or quiet - maybe not the place for you! The food has gone down in quality over the past few years - that fact seems consistent throughout WDW restaurants IMHO - but still good, filling and fun. DS has overdone it on the bottomless shakes and rolled out of the place - watch out for the creamsicle flavor!!!

We're skipping it this year but will likely pop in again next time.

Enjoy!!

Thanks - well with a four year old were not looking for privacy that for sure. DH is very excited about the ADR, especially the more he read about the antics of the servers.

For us personally, we didn't like WCC. With all the other restaurants on property, I wouldn't be surprised if we never go again, which is ok.

We had heard good things and managed to get an ADR while we were there (they were booked every time I called before going).

My DDs loved the milkshakes. They had cotton candy flavor, and my DDs were in love with them.

We had the salsa/queso appetizer - and we all LOVED it.

My DH got the skillet - he said the ribs weren't as good as he had heard, but they weren't bad. Granted, even the best place has off nights. We had had great ribs at another Disney place earlier in the week. I didn't eat any of the chicken or brisket - but DH said they were both very good. As my DH generally doesn't like chicken, I thought that was a good sign.

My DDs loved their childrens meal too - it was a pasta w/sauce & cheese. They ate very bite.

I don't know if we would go back. There were other places we enjoyed more - so want to redo those. . and try new places. This one just being "okay" when we went, it is not a have to.

We went a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I was not very impressed. Our server was fine but service was very slow (the place was packed). The noise level is extremely high here. That probably wouldn't have been such a problem if it hadn't been so slow. By the time we left, I had a headache. Our waitress seemed to have too many tables to take care of. The food was ok but it took forever to get seconds. The potato portion was very small on the first skillet. Ribs and chicken were fine; the brisket very dry. Milkshakes were good. They completely messed up our dessert order so I can't comment on how good they are since we didn't eat the ones they brought us. I would say it is fine to try WCC once but we won't be back unless maybe to try breakfast.

Sorry...we did not like it. Thought the food was very overrated (DH got sick on the ribs and/or chicken in the skillet--the only thing I didn't eat after tasting other stuff which I thought was bad). We saw none of the antics every one talks about and were there for over two hours. When we first walked in to the lobby we heard happy birthday sung to some one...but never a word about "ketchup", no pony race--nothing (we were there on a Saturday night at 5:30).

Horrible experience!!!! We had a large group with a 7 and 4 year old. One hour and 15 minutes after ordering, we had NO food! When it arrived, the food was awful. The enitre experience was so bad that the manager ended up comping the meal. I would not send anyone to WCC ever!

This is a great example of one of those Disney World restaurants that was fantastic when it first opened, but has steadily declined over the years. The quality of food has suffered as well as service.

We have never been, but we are looking forward to some fun there in January. Hopefully we can all bring back good reports. :thumbsup2

we went last year and the food was fine, nothing special but good gut-busting American food. We would go again but it is not in our top ten. We didn't get a funloving server so don't rely on it or you will be disappointed.

I think you will enjoy it as long as you go with a realistic view.

Greasy, greasy, greasy...

A pp referred to it as "gut-busting". I agree in the most unflattering way possible.

Never again.

I quite liked the food there, and I loved the cornbread (not something we have in the UK, and I am hooked!). However our rule is 3 from 3 votes if we are going to return next trip, and DD and DH both said no to WCC. (Actually DH said "not the cowboy one" and left me to work out where he meant.)

If anyone is interested, the only one that scored 3/3 and will get a return visit was 'Ohana. WCC got 1/3, Chef Mickeys 2/3, Boma 1/3 and I forget what Teppanyaki got.

We went Monday 11/24 Party of 6. It was crowded. Service was excellent and quick. A few of us had the ribs=great! My bro had the pasta=great!
The cornbread was out of this world. We had to sing the "LOve Boat" song. The whole ketchup thing was so much fun. The kids had a pony race. We did the hokey pokey. It was a bit pricey, menu a bit limited and I am so glad we did it. (my kids are 12 and 9 and they would do it again in a second):)

Del! We were there that same night! My DS told our server it was my DH's birthday and he made him get up and do the hokey-pokey. The server also made my son and DD 19 get up to help too. What time were you there??

We had never been here before and while LOUD, it was great fun! Lots of ketchup going around the room...really cracked us up to watch families hauling loads of ketchup around. Our server was awesome and we thought the food was very good. Three of us got the skillet, one the pasta, and another roasted chicken. Everyone liked their meals. I'm so glad we went!

We've dinner eaten there twice, and both time it was a blast! The kids have tons of fun, the food was pretty good considering the reduction in food quality seen almost everywhere else in the World. "Greasy" food? It's a BBQ all-you-care-to-eat, what do you expect?

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
