I could live on turkey club sandwiches and coffee for a week if I had to. Wouldn’t be a horrible thing to endure.
Agree. I think we should make a game of it. For each new post here, let's try to guess what the original thread question was.The combining of threads makes this one pretty amusing now.![]()
Our best guess is that all the @reecejackox mundane question threads have been, for some unexplained reason, merged together. Every time he starts a new one, the replies soon end up here in this one and it disappears from the CB. So what you read here could be the answer to one of scores of questions posted over the months.OK, I'm totally lost now...
Am I the only one that thinks the CB is lacking, without the fluff threads to entertain us?
Those threads have no doubt been closed, due to people reporting every post they don't agree with. I'll never understand why people do that, but it's obvious that it's happening in the Harry & Meghan & Covid threads. I don't really blame the mods for getting tired of adults acting like elementary school kids tattling on each other. At least, the fluff threads don't/didn't fall within the banned topics. I ignore some & rarely post on the others. I do enjoy reading them, when I'm bored. Hopefully, the members who have a problem with those threads will start posting threads for us to read. I have a boring life & need my CB entertainment.I think it's lacking without most of the non-fluff threads that have been closed lately. And I hope, every time I log on, to see some interesting new threads that aren't random questions or song-lyric related. I start one every time I have what I think will be good topic fodder. The CB really isn't what it used to be though.
I have no idea how that happened lol. Must’ve pocket postedProviding of course, that all these items are readily available in the UK? Oh, wait...![]()
I must confess it's easier for those of us who aren't American to stay out of the fray. I always knew better than to interfere in any threads that veered towards the elections, gun violence, health insurance or racism....As far as the CB not being what it used to be, it was really bad, before they cut down on political posts. Politics can definitely bring out the worst in people. I do agree that it isn't as active as it used to be.
A while ago, someone tried to start a mundane question thread. That didn't help. I presume he/she complained, and probably others, about all the mundane threads as they started to take over the CB.Our best guess is that all the @reecejackox mundane question threads have been, for some unexplained reason, merged together. Funny how they go that way though, down some rather circuitous routes. Like the current tipping thread that's become more about rates of pay/living wages/minimum wages. In the good old days, tipping threads were just about whether or not one was a cheapskate.![]()
