We are considering eating there on Tuesday, but haven't heard any reviews of it. Have you tried it? What did you think?

I have never eaten there but when I was looking at all the menus that one looked pretty good as far as food choices.

Speaking only as a one try visit we thought it was below average... next time we'll go around the bend and hit Columbia Harbour House.

We ate there this past xmas trip and did not care much for the food. In fact, i do not even remember what we ate.

We ate there a few weeks ago. The kids loved it b/c we got a table overlooking It's A Small World, and they waved at everyone in the boats and got a huge thrill whenever people waved back. We were lucky to get one of those tables b/c there were only about 5 tables at the Small World windows. The kids also liked the images of the Pinocchio story that were in the restaurant.

The food was fine. Nothing to write home about but perfectly fine. The kids had cheese pizza w/carrots & apples. Dh had penne w/meatballs. I had a side salad.
It was the only counter service restaurant we tried. I found the ordering and searching for a table to be a bit chaotic and stressful with kids in tow, but that is probably a function of CS restaurants in general. All our other restaurant meals were TS.

We just ate there this past week and I thought it was one of the better CS places. Maybe that was because I was so tired of burgers & nuggets for us & the kids that a change of pace to pizza, mac & cheese, and a meatball sub was a welcome change. We had no trouble finding a table around 7 PM Friday evening.

It can be chaos to get a table but we have never had a bad meal, tried the meatball sub for the first time last year and its huge, DH and I could have easily shared it.

Pizza same as all the other CS places but we like it so no problem if its the same to us.

I liked it. When we were there it wasn't very busy, must of been in between meal times...

I hate to be totally negative, but the only thing I like about it is that it makes Harbor House less crowded. The menu was just not memorable and the cardboard/ketchup pizza was not sopmething to repeat.

It seems like every CS at WDW falls into three categories.

Something special, OK to fill you up and bad.

Under Something special places like Columbia Harbor House and Sunshine Seasoning always pop up. Maybe some CS at the WS.

OK to fill up would be like Pecos Bill, Pinocchio Village Haus and most other places.

Bad would be like ABC Commissary though I have never eaten there it always seems to get bad reviews.

Be aware this is all subjective for some people some places are higher on the list some lower.

At Pinocchio Village Haus you get Disney Pizza that my family has no problem with, meatball subs that would like a Subway sub and pasta with sauce and meatballs. That would be like what most people would make at home. There is no pan brazed something with a perfect sauce just made for you finished with goat cheese. Just food thats nothing really special but gets you through the day. If you need more go to a reviewed TS place.

I just saw that chicken parm is on the menu and my DS's love chicken parm. Has anyone tried it and are there any sides that come with the dinner?

Chartle,

HIGH FIVE!!! Thanks for condensing the thoughts of many of us so clearly! Where did people get the idea that theme park CS food was supposed to be gourmet? Do they go to McDonald's at home and expect the same quality as at a Shula's Steakhouse?

Most of the CS food @ WDW is tasty and filling and gives a body the nutrients it needs to keep up the pace of going from ride to ride. To expect more than that is, in my opinion, asking too much of park food.

Seeing the ride is also a big hit in my family. My son when he was younger loved waving at the people on the boats. The nice thing is that can help keep your kids entertained long enough to get the food back to your table.

We generally go to Pinocchio Village Haus once each trip. The food is generally good. They have a few salads and pizza. I believe they have a chicken sandwich. While it's not our favorite CS at the MK, we do like it.

The food is typical counter service like most of WDW. It is a decent counter service meal, but nothing spectacular.

The only thing we liked was being able to see IASW. Harbour House or Pecos Bills are both so much better.

It's a great quick service place! Love the decor, and plenty of places to sit. If you sit up top, you can have a great view and people watch. Have fun!! :)

like it. I usually stick with a salad. They moved away from the antipasto salad a couple of years ago which was unfortunate. The Mediterranean Salad is pretty good but the mozzarella is just bland.

I had the chicken parm there last summer and it was decent. I can't remember what came with it... maybe a breadstick of some kind?:confused The food there isn't terrible but we don't spend too much time in Fantasyland so we don't end up there too often. Pecos Bills is our favorite CS at MK. Love that taco salad!

Plan on trying it for dinner in June on our last min suprise weekend trip for my stepson..In 13 trips Ive never eaten here for some reason?
