What is your most ridiculously easy dish that draws raves?

More please!!

I always make my pot roast with dry onion soup mix. Just put the roast, potatoes, carrots, onion (whatever you want) in the crock pot with one package dry onion soup and one packet (Just fill the little onion soup thing) of water. Always delicious and I get lots of compliments!

This is good for the Fall:

Gingerbread Trifle

Gingerbread
Cool Whip
Vanilla Pudding
Gingersnaps (for garnish)

Break up gingerbread by hand. Generously layer first 3 ingredients in trifle bowl, ending with Cool Whip. Add crushed gingersnaps to the top.

Delish, and always a big hit!

I would really love to try this, but I cannot find 'gingerbread' in Western Canada anywhere. :(

Gingersnaps yes, gingerbread no.

I have a very similar recipe, but the one I have also includes apple juice, which (IMHO) puts this dish over the top!

I swear everytime I serve this people say they just have to get the recipe for it; like it is some fantastic, exotic dish.

I missed this the first time around - this interests me, I am going to give this a try too!

I tried it this weekend .... YUM!! And I don't like cauliflower normally - this was very tasty!!

Ooooh, this reminds me of my Autumn Pork Chop recipe. Super-duper easy, but it's a crockpot recipe, so it takes some extra cooking time but it seriously couldn't be easier!

Autumn Pork Chops
Pork Chops
2 cups apple juice
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Place pork chops in crockpot. Add apple juice and cinnamon. Cook on low 7-10 hours (depends on if you're using thick or thin pork chops).

Makes the house smell fantastic! Serve with couscous and/or a sweet potato.

Thank you for your opinion!

I am going to put this on my list of things to try this week.

I :lovestruc crockpot recipes.

Pork chops and apples traditionally go together, so I think I might need to try this recipe out as well. Thank you!

Chuck Roast
Rosemary sprig
garlic powder
6 cups water
1/2 cup soy sauce

Put all into crockpot, cook till meat falls apart. Serve with crusty bread to dip in the absolutely DIVINE dipping sauce.

One of my families favs is

2 boneless chicken breasts cubed, and covered in shake-n-bake
fry in a large frying pan with 1/2 stick of butter until chicken is cooked through. I normally serve with corn and chicken rice-a-roni

This sounds similar to chicken nuggets, correct? (although I think your version is healthier).

I have never understood the stick-of-butter thing; exactly how much is 1/2 stick of butter (in Canadian terms, if you would be so kind) :thumbsup2

My cobbler (aka dump cake). Everyone loves it and thinks I slave hours baking it. Even when I tell them how easy it is, they just don't believe me.

Yes they are like chicken nuggets. I am not sure about being healthier because of the butter! LOL

A stick of butter is 8 tablespoons. We get four sticks to a pound. I hope that helps!

Really? :confused3 I buy the packaged mix that comes in a box - Betty Crocker or something like that, there are many to choose from and they're simple to make - IIR you just add water to the mix and bake. Or, you could always make your own from scratch. Let me know...

Didn't read all the posts but this goes over big in my house as a 'picky' before football games or parties.

A block of cream cheese (a little soft)
Spread a thick layer of Hot Pepper JElly over it (be generous, usually half the jar)

Serve with Wheat Thins............

It is especially nice at Christmas because of the colors. I have to keep extra on hand for when my brother in law visits.

Also, a fruit dip...........

One block cream cheese
Half jar (or more to taste) fluffunutter.

Mix with blender
Serve with mixed fruit

Havent read the whole thread so this may already be on here:

Salsa chicken

1 lb chicken
1 block of cream cheese
1 jar salsa (or enchilada sauce or taco sauce)

Cook in crock pot for 6 hours. Serve with rice. Yummy.

Can add corn or beans to it too.
