Jiggerj and I are having a "Disney dinner" tomorrow night. We are looking for recipes that you have from WDW that you can share with us. We are undecided on what to make so any and all recipes would be appreciated. We are looking for appetizers, main entrees, drinks, and desserts!

I am looking forward to all of your best ideas and recipes!

Many thanks!

HunnyPots, that's a site I didn't have bookmarked. THANKS!!

Kim,

MargieJ (from this board) has a great site for Disney recipes!! On it you can find these favorites of ours - I've made all of them & they're easy:
Frunch - citrus beverage from Boma
Strawberry Banana Bread - from Wilderness Lodge
*Flank Steak Marinade - from Boma, use on any type of steak
*White Meat Marinade - from the Poly, good on chicken
*although both are better if marinated for the full 24 hrs, 6 - 8 is still good!
Potatoes with Afritude - from Boma (potato logs)
Fufu - mashed white & sweet potatoes from Boma
Au Gratin Potatoes - from Cinderella's Royal Table
Broccoli Cranberry Salad - from Yacht & Beach Club
Kang Bao Chicken - from Nine Dragons, Epcot
Bread Pudding - from Grand Floridian or the Poly (I have another from Boma that I didn't see on MargieJ's site. I've copied it below.)
Dole Whips (listed under Pineapple Icee Whip)

Also if you will have kids there, try the Crisp Rice Sushi (from Contemporary - like rice krispy treats wrapped in fruit roll-ups)!

BANANA BREAD PUDDING
from Boma’s
4 c heavy cream
27 oz fresh eggs
1/3 oz cinnamon
5 bananas
2 lb croissants, brioche, or challah, sliced
4 c milk
19 oz sugar
4 oz butter
Cut day-old bread into pieces & place in deep pan. Mix custard except for butter. Soak bread with the custard. Slice bananas & incorporate into pudding. Place butter on top of bread pudding. Bake in hot water bath oven at 275 degrees for ~45 - 60 minutes until an inserted knife comes out clean. Serve with Spoon Vanilla Sauce. Serves 12.

VANILLA SAUCE (I've never made this part.)

24 oz heavy cream
1 oz cornstarch
6 egg yolks
1½ c milk
4½ oz sugar
¼ oz vanilla

Heat up milk, vanilla, & heavy cream. Dissolve cornstarch with egg yolks. Add sugar. Once liquid boils, temper some of the liquid into the yolks & stir vigorously. Then return tempered yolks to pot. Turn off the heat & stir continuously until well combined & thickened. Transfer the sauce into a bowl & set over an ice bath to cool.

chip126 and I had a great disney dinner yesterday. We had a yummy tenderloin, red potatoes and stuffed shrimp. We then "pretended" that we were all at Chef Mickeys with make your own ice cream sundaes ! We even picked up a bag of Ghiradelli chocolate squares ! :) The kids sang some disney songs and we went over chip126's itinerary for her december trip. That girl can plan ! I loved the disney website with the recipes and thank you for the credit given for cindys potatoes ! I guess chip126 and I will an excuse to have to plan another disney dinner and make these again ! Thanks !

So glad your dinner went well. I'm happy to hear you loved my website. Thanks to you for getting one of the most requested recipes, Cindy's Au Gratin Potatoes. Giving you credit was the least I could do for you.
