What is your favorite thing to do at Typhoon Lagoon?

We just found out Blizzard Beach will be closed while we are in Disney. So I was wondering if you can tell me what you enjoyed most about Typhoon Lagoon. DO they have a Lazy River?//

The lazy river is great. It is a similar length to the one at Blizzard Beach. It takes about 20 minutes to go around once. They added some water cannons and other water features that increase your chances of getting your head wet. I don't really like this since I wear glasses and a hat. The vegetation along the lazy river is beautiful.

The best thing about Typhoon Lagoon is the wave pool. You must experience the big waves. I think they run for 15 minutes every hour or so. The power from the huge wave is amazing. I love listening to the people scream as it approaches.

Make sure to try the snorkeling. This is another option not offered at Blizzard Beach.

The tube rides are not quite as good IMHO.

Typhoon Lagoon is a beautiful park. I like Blizzard Beach better, but TL does have unique attractions that will make a visit worthwhile.

The overall theme is my favorite thing about the park. It's very relaxing. I love the snorkeling as well.

The wave pool and swimming with the sharks! The waves in the Typhoon Lagoon wave pool are huge! My DS's (9 & 12) loved them. The one thing I do like better at Blizzard Beach is the family raft ride. Typoon Lagoon's hardly seems worth the wait in line; it seems like it's over in seconds. Blizzard Beach's is a much longer ride.

My DD10 and I really enjoyed the three body slides - can't remember the names of them - but they aren't huge ones, just exciting enough for us timid ones. They didn't have any ones like them at BB, except for the ones in the older kiddie area, which gets very congested and crazy.

Our three favorite things at TL are:
1) Castaway Creek (the lazy river)
2) Wave Pool
3) Storm Slides (the body slides)

We love it at TL! Beautiful setting. You really feel like you are on a tropical island!

We could spend the entire day in the wave pool and on the lazy river! We also liked snorkeling with the sharks/fish. We did enjoy the slides, but the WAVE POOL was definitely the hit with our family.

DH liked the Shark Reef.

Shark Reef is, IMHO, the best theme park attraction on the face of the earth.

For me, it is definitely:
1. Wave pool
2. Lazy river
3. The shark reef...which can be a little cold at first, but it is well worth it, tons of fun!
The theming here is fantastic, the slides are good, but the other offerings add so much to the park. It is a total package in my mind. When it comes to water parks in our family, we always choose to hit TL instead of BB.

Ditto. Much better wave pool.

The lazy river goes counterclockwise at BB and clockwise at TL.

I knew all of you would make me feel better about the fact that Blizzard Beach will be closed when we go. Now I'm looking forward to Typhoon Lagoon and trying something different. thanks to all of you

The wave pool and Shark Reef are can't miss attractions. The waves in the pool are huge.
