What is your favorite restaurant at WDW.

We've been Disney fanatics for years, and I must say that the quality of food has seen a serious decline in the past five years.

That being said, we like:

Canada (when you can get in)

The Food Court at Riverside (Pasta & Salad Your Way & Turkey Dinner)

Breakfast only at T.E.

Chicken Wrap at Pecos Bill's (and the sauteed mushrooms & onions)

We used to LOVE the snack bar at WL until they changed the menu. They used to have great daily specials and a good variety of other items. We also used to like to go to the food court at GF until they changed that. They had killer baked potatoes that you could top with anything and everything. Crockett's used to have a snack menu that included buffalo wings, pizza by the slice, chicken tenders, salads, strawberry shortcake from the Hoop-De-Doo, and other items. They stopped that about 2 years ago. Stupid, stupid decision. Crockett's some years ago used to have a full service menu & we would always treat ourselves to their Maine Lobster dinner at least one time every trip. WDW exec's are too focused on stuffing their pockets with perks, and cheapening the guest's experience. They really could care less about return visitors and loyalty to regular guests. If this economy keeps sinking, WDW will discover just how much money is spent by the "regulars".

Believe it or not, but we really enjoy the food court at Port Orleans Riverside.
The prices are reasonable, the food and selections are good, and best of all its really close to the campground.

We stayed at POR once, and hubby and I went to the food court for breakfast every morning, and got a ham and cheese omelet every time.

There was this one lady who cooked at the omelet station who just had the most peaceful dispostition - I swear she just oozed comfort and relaxation while she worked, and her omelets were fantastic. We called them "serenity omelets" because we figured it must have been her peaceful outlook creeping into her cooking that made them so extra good.

It used to be V&A's but since 2005 (ate there in 2000 and loved it) when the dress code and such went into the dumper (used to be tie and jacket, but the last time we saw jeans/shorts and T-shirts) our fav is Bistro de Paris (upstairs from Chefs). We can eat two elegant meals at Bistro for one at V&A's.

For just normal eating we really like for lunch Fulton's, Mama Melrose, Brown Derby and for dinner Narcoossee's. We also have enjoyed both the HDR and Spirit of Aloha for the dinner/show thing. This next time we will be doing the Ca grill that we have only eaten at twice is the last 20+ years. The Ca grill back in the early 80's had a floor show with dinner that was really good, but sadly went away soon after our first visit. We used to like the CR, but it's been a few years since we've been there and need to go back. There are just too many restaurants to visit them enough to give a good review of them all.

Outside of Bistro, I can't really say there is a favorite, you just have to pick the CS or TS for what you have a taste for and order accordingly.

We've eaten at the buffet a couple of times and the real sit down before the buffet, the take out pizza once and the chicken "grab and go" and they were all good.

Ya know...dat Earl of Samidge is SOME gooood...I forgot about them. Ive only had them once, and that was on our last trip...but I sure will be back. We had reservations for Fulton's, but cancelled them because I saw quite a few bad reviews...maybe we should have tried them for ourselves...seems like you guys are fans. We were very excited to try Wolfgangs for our first time on our last trip.....we were really disappointed...maybe we ordered the wrong stuff. We REALLY enjoyed Crystal Palace for breakfast...which surprised me.

We like Cape May Cafe for both dinner and breakfast. We started going there when our kids were little. It has a great breakfast where the food is good, and there was character interaction..without it being "crazy". We still go there, and enjoy the characters...but it's nice to have a character meal where the food is actually good also! We didn't get to visit on our last trip, but we have had dinner there in the past and always enjoyed the variety..and quantity of food! The restaurant is so bright and cheerful looking. Very often we would follow a visit to the Cape May with a walk into Epcot through the World Showcase entrance. Nice way to end the evening catching the Illuminations show.

Where is the best dessert at WDW ???/

Nothing fancy about this dessert but we like to either bike over to the WL or take the boat for a brownie and dish of soft serve ice cream at Roaring Forks. The brownies are excellent and big enough for two people to share with a dish of the soft serve.

We also have to make at least one trip to Beaches and Cream every trip.

.Im sure it wont be hard to start a new tradition. I was soooo completely impressed with Cinderella's Royal Table...that may be our new tradition!!!

I was sooooo disappointed with The Royal Table. We made our reservations months in advance for 8 of us. They put us at 2 tables for 4, not next to each other. Our tables were right as you entered the restaurant too. We got to see everybody come and everybody go, we got to see everybody come and go to the bathroom, we got to hear all the wait staff talk right behind us. I was actually angry. The princesses all came to our DDs table as we were seated and we had to rush with each of them because another was there waiting and then....it was done, less than 5-10 mins. I let DH sit with the girls and my friend and I sat with the boys across the isle in the tucked in corner. Can't be happy all the time but we were split up for so many of our meals it was getting crazy. Why make the reservations. It was worse at WC at WL, reservations for 9 at 9p and we weren't seated until after 10pm at separate tables again. Well by that time 3 of the 5 kids were asleep in their chairs and we only got to witness one request for katchup.

Whispering Canyon- We have never had as much fun as we did with a group of 10 of us - just for dessert. We love our ice cream. There desserts are very good.
Chef Mickeys - the biggest disappointment in food.

Backyard BBQ

DHS - Pizza Planet for lunch and Mama Melrose for Fantasmic Dinner Package

AK - Flame Tree BBQ for lunch ....then Princess Storybook Dinner in Epcot that night

MK - Cosmic Rays for lunch and Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner

We are going to have a counter service lunch/dinner at either Roarin Forks or The Sand Bar. What would you recommend out of those 2? Is there a place for counter service on the DP in DD?

The Wolfgang Puck Express in DD over near the Disney Kitchen Store is considered a counter service on the DP. Excellent food, big portions. Entrees range from the 1/2 roasted chicken to pizza, salads or pasta. Dessert choices are a giant cookie, big brownie or cream brulee (sp?). We were on the DP at Christmas and used several of our CS at Puck Express. We actually would share one meal there which left us an extra to use for a CS breakfast.

Earl of Sandwich is also CS at DD.

We ate at Concourse Steakhouse our last trip and it was great. Too bad it won't be there next time around.

Artist Point we ate to on our first trip (to the Fort) two years ago and that was yummy too but that is too expensive for every trip.

I even like the pizza @ Pizza Planet.

Okay,,My favorite dessert is the "KITCHEN SINK" at the Beaches & Ceam , and I still argue with Mrs.Goofy that I could eat one by myself. ..Mrs.Goofy would say her favorite is the Bananas & Caramel "CREME BRULEE" at the Kona Cafe. .....But who am I kidding,I've never come across a dessert I didn't like ! ...Mr.
