What is your FAVORITE resort?

The Poly, hands down. I stayed there as a small child when it was just the CR and the Poly. I have some great memories there and I love the feel of the resort. The monorail makes it so convenient too.....wish I were THERE NOW!!!! :o

I just viewed some photos of the BWV Steeple Chase suite. Absolutely beautiful. I think I could spend the entire day (or days) in that suite. I'll send the kids to the parks with DH and just submerse myself in luxury and relaxation. Sounds good!:)

I would have a tie between BC or the Boardwalk! Those are both my favorite resorts! :bounce:

Tough decision! I've stayed at all the deluxe resorts except the Contemporary, and they each have their own unique characteristics that make them so special. With that in mind, I guess I would choose the Grand Floridian as my first choice and the Animal Kingdom Lodge as my second choice.

I would love to stay at the BCV if money was no object. We stayed @BC & absolutely loved it. We had a balcony that we used every night & love the proximity to the Boardwalk. We also enjoyed CBR & FW. FW was out 1st onsite hotel, so that will always hold a special place for us. We are trying the Swan & looking foward to our stay there, once again because of the proximity to the Boardwalk, & Epcot. I don't thing you can go wrong staying anywhere in the Boardwalk vicinity. Jmo. Kathy ;)

We love the Poly, however... after we visit the world in a few weeks... we have a funny feeling the Contemporary will be our new favorite. :)

AKL - Love the laid back atmosphere, transportation, Boma's, and, of course, the animals! We really felt like we were in Africa!

Definitely the Contemporary! I'm not quite sure why I like it so much but we keep going back and it just feels like home now.
It has great restaurants, shops, and pools and you can't beat the monorail or walking trail to the MK...it's awesome!

(A close second, though, is the Grand Floridian - I've never stayed there and it looks beautiful...maybe for my honeymoon one day or something! :) )

CBR all the way!

On our last day we checked out the monorail resorts for our next trip and decided that the Poly didn't interest us, the GF is too stuffy and the CR is ok but more like a Hilton.

When we are on vacation at Disney we look at it this way. Are we there to stay at the resort or are we there for the parks. To be honest this is our first WDW trip but we are Disneyland vets. We stayed at the Disneyland hotel, loved the fact that the mouse roars, but honestly were just as happy at HoJo's.

We've already decided that the CBR is our resort for the entire family trip in 05.

Hmm, I'll say it's a tie between Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Boardwalk. The Boardwalk because it's fun to be able to walk right outside where I'm staying and stroll along the water's edge with activities on the way. Animal Kingdom Lodge because I love animals, and it's nice to be able to stand on my balcony and have the animals walking right past or sometimes, stare right at me.

The Yacht Club! What a great location. We loved being across from the BW and still within walking distance of mini golf after the parks closed.

Boardwalk Villas. The Boardwalk villas are my favorite, and my dad always manages to get rooms overlooking the lake. It's so beautiful!

I LOVED SoG the first time DH and I stayed there in 98!! He's out of the military now, so we'll never get that chance again! :(
So now, we really enjoy the Allstar Music Resort. Love the theming and the whole feel of the resort! Can't wait for 2006!

If money were no object, THE ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE would have my name written all over it! :teeth:

I have to say WL. If money wasnt an issue, well then bring on the Roy Disney suite.

I love the Lodge..its very magical!::yes:: ::yes::

We stayed there for 10 days in 1998 The really fabulously done rustic feel is so restful and relaxing. That vacation was my absolute favorite, and resort was at least part of it.

Now that we have a little more to spend, hypothetically, maybe a vacation in Concierge at WL?

Id say it would be the PR. I have never stayed there, but everytime I go there it is just like a tropical paridise!

Our favorite is YC, and if cost were not an issue, we'd stay in the president's or admiral's suite.

There are many WDW resorts we've never stayed at, but we have visited all of the deluxe resorts, and none of them had the feel of Wilderness Lodge. From the moment we walked in that breathtaking lobby, we felt like we'd come home. The whole resort has such a warm, inviting feel that we loved. It's the perfect compliment to busy days in the parks.
