Looking for dining suggestions for our upcoming trip.
We will be eating all quick serve meals for lunches and dinner for five days, so need to come up with places for each park plus DS.

DH is a picky eater. Fortunately, he doesn't mind eating the same thing every day. On our last trip,he ate BBQ pork sandwich at the POR food court for dinner every day! He likes "normal" food - BBQ, burgers, chicken tenders - think your typical picky preteen!

DS is 15 and a little less picky - he will eat things like salmon, most types of soup or rice, and any type of popular teen food (pasta, pizza, burgers etc). He also would be content eating the same thing every day.

I am not super adventurous but do NOT want the same thing everyday! I'd prefer if I could find some places with healthier options, or fresher, or at least just some kind of decent veggie or fruit without having to eat salads all the time.

Any hidden gems out there? Places where my boys could get boring burgers and fries but I could NOT get a boring burger and fries (or apple slices - ack - not my favorite option either!)

AK - Yaki and Yeti Local Cafe (the CS at Yaki and Yeti), has a Kobe burger on the menu, and also Egg rolls and a Chicken Fried Rice that was so tasty! They also have a beef stir fry with white rice that was a big hit when we went there.

Disney Springs has a million places. D-Luke Burger is popular, but we weren't wowed, and the burgers were pricey. You could eat at Splitsville for the same money practically, and there is so much variety at Splitsville, you could easily find your healthier options!! The Smokehouse is the CS near House of Blues and they are supposed to have great BBQ, but maybe nothing for you.

HS - Backlot Express has the typical burgers, but a fabulous salad (don't let the crazy name turn you off - Galatic Chicken Salad) with grilled chicken, black bean relish, avacado and a tasty dressing.

MK - you should SKIP Pecos Bills, not because the burgers are bad, they are just small and come with tortilla chips instead of fries for a whooping $14! I think the price is high because you can use the toppings bar, but if you don't that is hefty for a run-of-the-mill burger. Maybe go to Cosmic Rays, as there are burgers, but a nice chicken dinner with green beans.

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons, near Soarin', has a bunch of different menu items that would satisfy everyone.

I've never had a burger or chicken nuggets from a QS so I can't help you there but here are our favorites.

MK - Pecos Bills for just the reason Harambe states not to go there, no burgers and a great toppings bar. Your kids could get a burrito, taco or nachos.
AK - I agree with Yak and Yeti, I love the fried rice, there is also the Harambe Market but I don't think you are going to find a burger there. People tend to like Flametree BBQ, it has huge portions but we aren't fans because we are from Georgia and BBQ is a way of life here.
HS - Backlot Express has a great Caprese Sandwich.
Epcot - anywhere in WS has great food, you can get burgers in the American pavilion. I would skip Sunshine Seasons but only because there is so much great food to be had at WS.

AK...Yak and Yeti counter
MK... Columbia Harbour House
HS....none
Epcot... Kringla in Norway for sandwiches and pastries (the France counter looks good too)

AK Flame Tree Barbeque
MK Columbia Harbour House or BOG
HS None great. Staring Rolls sandwich
EP Almost any quick service in WS. I would never waste money on Electric Umbrella in FW We like:
La Cantina in Mexico, Sommerfest in Germany, Katsura Grill in Japan, Tangerine Café in Morocco, Bakery in France and Fish & Chips in the UK.

OP was looking for a place WITH burgers/nuggets/etc. for her "boring" family with something a little different/healthier for herself.

I've never had a burger or chicken nuggets from a QS so I can't help you there but here are our favorites.
MK - Pecos Bills for just the reason Harambe states not to go there, no burgers and a great toppings bar. Your kids could get a burrito, taco or nachos.

Not sure if OP's family would go for the burritos, etc at Pecos Bills, and may not go for all the extras on the toppings bar. If they don't want the extra toppings, it would be a huge waste of money to spend $14 for a simple small burger. And most of the WS counter services (although fantastic!!) do not offer more "boring" foods along with their national dishes, although there are a few.

MK-Columbia Harbour House not sure if there are burgers I am sure there are but I like the lobster roll
EP- Any walk up joint in WS. stop in Mexico for tacos and a margarita and go to American Showcase for the burger
HS- ABC Comissary no frills in this park for QS
AK- Flame Tree BBQ, and they serve Beer.

AK - Flametree is decent and would suit your family, the asian food at Y&Y QS is super accessable, nothing "out there" about it.
HS - leave, go to Epcot.
Epcot - Tangerine Cafe will have gyros which pretty much any "normal" eating meat and potatoes guy can dig and you'd have tons of choices. It not nearly as adventurous as it might seem and its delicious. Yorkshire Fish Shop is tasty and its just fish and chips - I'm not big on a lot of WDW fast food type french fries, but these, I love. Brats from Germany would again be very typical food for your DH, but a little different for you.
MK - leave, go to Epcot. I do love the Mexicanish Street Corn and dole whips though:)

AK - Yak & Yeti QS
MK - Friars Nook (mac and cheese)
Epcot - No single favorite (so many great options). First one to come to mind is Tangierine Cafe
HS - Starring Rolls

AK - Yaki and Yeti Local Cafe (the CS at Yaki and Yeti), has a Kobe burger on the menu, and also Egg rolls and a Chicken Fried Rice that was so tasty! They also have a beef stir fry with white rice that was a big hit when we went there.

Ooh Yak and Yeti sounds promising! We've done flametree in the past, but last trip it wasn't as great. DS has enjoyed some Asian dishes before.

Well I loved BBQ too, so that's an option! I just wouldn't eat it for five days straight (unlike DH LOL)

HS seems to be one of the toughest places. Think I actually had a decent meal at ABC commissary once but can't remember what it was now. Maybe salmon or shrimp. I'll give Backlot Express a look.

Good know about Pecos BILLS, we would probably not find it enough food with only chips and not fries, and we would probably not use the toppings bar at all

Thanks for the tips

Love all the advice, please keep it coming! My iPad is giving me fits and it's taking me 20 minutes to type one response, so I can't reply much till I figure out what the deal is. Ugh! But reading and appreciating all the input

AK: Flame Tree BBQ
MK: Columbia Harbour House
Epcot: Tangierine Café in Morocco, Sommerfest in Germany
HS: I don't really have a QS here, but we love the Sci-Fi Dine In. It is a TS.

Generally we go only to one QS place on property: Columbia Harbour House. :)

MK - Columbia Harbor House
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons in Future World and you can't go wrong with almost any of the QS in World Showcase.

We generally don't do QS in AK or HS

Here are my picks :)
AK-Flame Tree
MK-Cosmic Ray (this place, the last I knew had a wide variety of food choices)
HS-ABC Commissary
EP-Liberty Inn
