omg im gonna babble on here but...what a superb thread.back in England some of these bands are far from one hit wonders!!! big county were massive over here...greatest hits album just out.Come on Eileen by d.m.r they were big too,kind of music all the family would tap their feet to(i was only about 7-8). Spandau Ballet were a top English band of the 80's,as were Simple Minds.Thin Lizzy...anyone remember their song"sarah"a massive hit many years ago...i lived in the sticks(countryside)then and my sister Sarah had just been born,brings back sweet memories.Bittersweet Symphony-The Verve,what a great song...was No1 in UK when Princess Diana died,i think they had 2 albums,the first was a classic.they were bigger than Oasis over here at one time(Oasis were the undercard at one of there gigs in the early days in Manchester).

The one i remember is Coolio-Gangsters paradise,but i guess he was big in the USA?

You're right, liferiley, Coolio wouldn't be considered a One Hit Wonder over here.

I can think of tons of good One Hit Wonder songs. I guess that's why they were hits!

Off the top of my head, "Sex and Candy" by Marcy Playground. (Yes, I know, they have other songs, but this is the one most people know them for.)

Wow, there sure are alot of songs considered one hit wonders.

I think any song by any of the 'hair bands' from the 80's can also be considered one hit wonders.

Nobody had mentioned Radar Love - I'm pretty sure that was a one hit wonder song... I can't help but turn it up every time I hear it!

Radar Love was done by Golden Earring who also had a hit called 'Twilight Zone'..another good song to crank up...

Human League also had 'Don't you want me?' and I think they did a song called 'Fascination'

Naked Eyes had another song called 'Promises Promises'

Rick Springfield(Jessie's Girl) had another song 'An affair of the heart'
