I am finally able to start making some of our PS ressies and was hoping to eat at one of the Grand Floridian restaurants one evening. We want to check out the holiday decorations at the resort too, so it makes sense to make an adventure of it and eat at the resort! :sunny:

Even though we have two girls (8&6), we aren't too interested in doing the character buffet. We've done a million of them and are limiting the # on this trip. Since my parents, will be with us too, we want to make it a special meal. With that in mind, what are your favorite restaurants at the GF and why?

Thanks so much for any tips and insights you have! My mom and I can't decide at the moment as they all sound so good!

We like Narcossees!! My DD5 does fine there-- she's used to going to "mostly adult" restuarants. There is a great view and you can enjoy Wishes from your table or on the porch.

To directly answer your question, my favorite GF (or WDW restaurant) is Victoria and Albert's.:D

But with your girls along, I think Citricos, Narcoossee's or Grand Floridian Cafe are all great choices depending on your girls' tolerance for fine dining and everyone's taste in food.

GFC is a very pretty restaurant and is the least formal of the three.

Narcoossee's has a fantastic setting on Seven Seas Lagoon, has lots of seafood on the menu and can be rather noisy with the convention crowd.

Citricos is the quietest of the three. Both Narccoossee's and Citricos will most likely be longer meals than GFC.

V&A's is fantastic, but not worth it for the kids. I know you said you did'nt want any character meal, but 1900 Park Fare is probably my families favorite restaurant. There are characters there, but we really have been goin for the food. Your kids will enjoy the characters and you will enjoy the food.

We always enjoy the Grand Floridian Cafe.

It's a great little restaurant that serves more 'regular' food (hamburgers, salads, etc) but still has the elegance & atmosphere of a lovely victorian-themed restaurant.

The price is right, too. :D

Narcoossee is a good choice, good location for wishes and of course very good food!

We love V and A also but we had a great time and wonderful meal at GF Cafe. The Chocolate Fondue was great!

We love Citico's and can't wait to eat there agin next month. Time it right and you can see Wishes. No music, but having dinner with fireworks is super.

This is just a suggestion since you mentioned that you have two daughters - why not do afternoon tea at the Gardenview Lounge at the Floridian? It's substantial enough to count as a full meal and the atmosphere is wonderful.

My hubby and I took my parents there one afternoon and we had a wonderful experience. I think they even offer a special tea for children.

Just a thought!

Do they pipe the music in for wishes at narcossee's? I just made PS for there, and if no music, I may be forced to go to CG.

Citrico's - great food, great service, great ambience. Have taken my girls there (10 and 5) several times and they love it.

DH would say Narcoosees, I would say Citricos, so I guess I am no help!!

I dont think you can go wrong with either, really.

Thanks for all of the great responses! :sunny: I knew I could count on people from the DIS giving great suggestions.

Oybolshoi, I never thought about the tea. What a wonderful idea! I will definitely plan that for our trip next June.

We ended up making a PS at Citricos. My mom drooled at the menu so I said "let's go with it!" Actually, they all look great so it was a tough choice. I'm hoping to try Narcoossee's (sp?) one day too.

Again thanks!!!!:wave2: :teeth:
