What Is Your Favorite Good Neighbor Hotel?

My daughter, myself and my 2 year old grandson will be driving into Disneyland from Las Vegas for 3 days of fun right after 4th of July. We usually stay at Paradise Pier but this trip we need to save some money so we are going to be staying off property.
What Good Neighbor Hotels would you recommend? I will have a scooter so the room has to be big enough to fit the scooter in the room and a pack and play for my grandson to sleep in. Other than that, we need a place close enough to walk with inside corridors.

What is your limit for walking (e.g., half a mile, one mile, more)? I ask because none of the motels that I can think of on Harbor between Katella and Ball have interior corridors. Some of the hotels down by the Convention Center (e.g., the Anaheim Hilton) have interior corridors, but the walk is markedly longer (e.g., over a mile).

The inside hallways requirement is going to be tough to meet if you want to be within walking distance. My favorites are Camelot Inn and Desert Inn & Suites. They are both very close, have great room rates, and I like the beds. However they do not have interior corridors.

Tropicana is a great motel and they have a section with indoor corridors, although I've never stayed in that section.

Howard Johnson on Harbor. Inside corridors. Large rooms. Walking distance. Ask for the Disboards rate or, if you have Disneyland annual passes, the AP rate.

The new Springhill Suites on Harbor and Katella has huge rooms and indoor hallways. It's just across Katella from the corner where the Candy Cane Inn is located, so very walkable.

I have stayed at the Best Western Park Place Inn and it was nice. The hotel is right across the street from the entrance to Disneyland, so you can't get much closer. We had a double stroller with lots of luggage and the room was plenty big enough to accommodate it all. We are trying out Camelot Inn at the beginning of May, a little longer walk but it had a family suite which we needed this trip, hoping it is similar at least to the Best Western.

I LOVED this hotel!

I have stayed at the Best Western Park Place Inn and it was nice. The hotel is right across the street from the entrance to Disneyland, so you can't get much closer. Further down Harbour is Best Western Plus Raffles Inn & Suites. It is just "okay" as a place to sleep basically.

If I was rating this property, it would get a 2 out of 5.

Rate is lower than many other properties, ART stop right in front, breakfast room is accessible, are some of the good points.

Otherwise, I would not stay here again.

My experience may differ from others, and I draw on the experience of working, and staying, in 5 Diamond properties so my standards reflect that.

Thanks everyone for all of your replies! I really do appreciate it. We checked into all of them and we settled on the Howard Johnson. But given that I'm super frugal I'll be looking for specials right up until the trip so if I find a better rate we might switch.

We stayed in that section once...we had just 1 king bed at that time (only DH and I at the time). I'm not sure if they have other room options in that small section or not. It's worth a call to the hotel, though. We've stayed there 2x, and will stay there again in November. They've always been very helpful when I've called to ask questions.

Hojo...
We stayed here and I would not consider these to be interior corridors. The room doors were somewhat inside but definitely open to the world. I consider interior corridors to mean people must enter through lobby to reach rooms.
We did love Hojo though. Super clean!

Another vote for Best Western Park Place Inn. I like that it's right across the street and parking is free for hotel guest.

We like it too...its convenience can't be beat. They do charge for parking, however, $10.00 per day.

Building 2 (and perhaps building 1?) at the Hojo has interior corridors. Buildings 3-6 also have interior corridors, but the buildings are so small, it doesn't feel like it.
