What is your FAVORITE free live performance?

Ooh - how about that guy that plays and sings at the Riverside at night? He's really amazing! Very entertaining! (Maybe it's POFQ? I don't remember)

And, nobody's mentioned the Tiki Birds yet!

This is that guy. we saw him one night when we stayed at POR~he is so much fun!

The pictures not great, but you get the idea....

Really???...Thats sounds very cool....like a hidden non-mickey!

Rog-

Here is the blue eyed Devine that we saw a few weeks ago....my girls LOVED watching her! :goodvibes

I think she's pretty cool...she has really smooth and graceful (almost sensual) movements when she is discovered! :thumbsup2

She IS kinda hot....like the SPRITE in FANTASIA 2000, I cant wait to see her next time I hit the parks!!!

Devine's a favorite of mine too. She scared the holy bee-jeebies out of me when I first saw her. She was draped over a wall and of course I started to lean on that wall until she started shaking. I think I jumped 5 feet away in one leap.

Just poking my nose in here... this is a great thread.

I remember loving the Tiki birds show as a youngster. Has it changed? (from, like, 30 years ago? :rolleyes1 )

We've enjoyed them all but I think the best was the Aladdin performance at DL that we saw back in 2004 when we were out on the "Left Coast".:lmao: ... And we actually endured there during the 1970's and still don't flush the toilet for a number one after 30+ years during that draught in the late 1970s we went thru. The guy playing the Genie was just as good a Robin Williams ever was. We still enjoy Beauty and the Beast at MGM and especially the singers for the pre show. The Hunch Back near the backlot at MGM was also really good.

While not really live "Turtle Talk" is a hoot for the interaction between the turtle and the kids asking questions ... just so precious.

Dangit, we have been to AK 2 times and still haven't seen Devine! One I forgot about, was the Jamitors at HS, Matt just thought it was so cool that they were making music with garbage cans and buckets. :thumbsup2

Good thread Rog, you da man.

Okay, off topic for a moment (like I ever go off topic). When I was in college back in the stone age I was at a bar in NYC and this goofy looking guy sat down at the piano and started to play and he was GOOD. I asked my NYC friends who he was and they said "some new guy named Billy Joel."

Billy Joel is from our hometown. My sister in law actually went to school with him.(not that she will admit it any longer!). Every so often he shows up..at a high school graduation or showing his daughter where he used to live.

Still lives on the island only not in our neighborhood ... Big MANSION with lots of security and a 25 year old bride!

**************************

I think one of my favorites was the Hunch Back in MGM.
We didn't go to Animal Kingdom on our last trip, and I know we plan to visit this year..I will have to check out the Nemo show..sounds nice.

I think my very favorite thing is the fireworks in the MK...nothing really like it.

Oh, the grueling life of an adult contemporary pop star!!! Poor guy!!

Yeah...she keeps me young....I only feel like I should have retired already!!

Yes, it changed a few years back. It now features Azu and Iago, (not sure about the spelling of either of those) the birds from Lion King and Aladdin, along with the original Tiki birds.
