What is your favorite food at Disneyland/California Adventure?

We are big fans of the sandwiches at Riverbelle - they are HUGE and delish, i think one of the best deals in the park. Cafe Orleans pomme frites and a cup of gumbo can't be beat. Carnation Cafe is a must for us, as previous posters have said the baked potato soup is THE BEST! At DCA, we really like Pacific Wharf for soup in bread bowls. Tried Taste Pilots, and weren't that thrilled, but lots of Disers say the ribs are good. Hope that helps, have a great time!!

Love the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl at DCA. For snacks, I love the cream cheese-filled pretzels and the giant sugar cookies from Pooh's Corner. My DS12 loves the chocolate-dipped oreos from Pooh's.

Breakfast: Carnation Cafe (everyday if my Dad is with us) or Krispy Kreme's bought the night before a magic morning at Compass Books in DTD

Lunch: Carnation Cafe, Corn Dogs from the Red Cart, Chili Reallano a la carte at Tortilla Jo's

Dinner: Napa Rose!, Steakhouse 55 (DH's favorite), Blue Bayou, Goofy's Kitchen, Ariel's Grotto, Jazz Kitchen, Uva Bar = I dream of dinner at DLR

Snacks: Churros!, Dole Whips, Bengal BBQ, any of the fruit at the carts, and anything sweet I can get my hands on

I'm a sucker for the chimichangas (though I know they are industrial and could be gotten just about anywhere...).

I love the pomme frites at Café Orleans.

I used to love the fritters from the Mint Julep Bar—but that was back in the 80's/90's. The fritters now available are sad little poorly-made substitutes.

And you can't pass on the soft serve on the bridge at DCA. I usually get it as a float, and it really is the best, creamiest soft serve I've ever had.

For a hot summer day, the mint julep offered by the French Market is pure perfection.

And to top off an already amazing day, a shared slice of cheese pizza from the Napolini cafe that is connected to Naples. DELICIOUS.

We went to the Carnation Cafe for the first time last week. I got the baked potatoe soup with the half of a veggie sandwich. It was a great meal.

We also went to Rancho Del Zocolo, the Mexican food place. Their special was mahi mahi (grilled) taco's and they were so good I got them 3 times during our trip!

This made me laugh. EVERY SINGLE trip at Disney my mom has to buy the Rice krispy treats. She stocks up on them and eats them like crazy. So I pictured her eating them when I read your post.
and I second the potato soup!

My favorites for breakfast are the croissant benedict from Carnation Cafe' & the Mickey waffles from Goofy's Kitchen.

For lunch or dinner, I LOVE the gumbo from Cafe' Orleans & Blue Bayou (they're both exactly the same); the gumbo in the bread bowls, not so much. (Now, if they could serve the CO/BB gumbo in a bread bowl, I'd probably have that for every meal whilst in the Park ). The pommes frites from CO are not to be missed, either.

There's a wonderful potpie served at Carnation Cafe' around the holidays, with turkey and cranberries, that's sooooo good . The regular chicken potpies there are delicious as well, along with their famous potato soup and open-faced meatloaf sandwich. I swear, Chef Oscar lets Tinkerbell sprinkle pixie dust on all the food there...it's all so yummy!

For quick service, I like the pastas at Redd Rocket's in Tomorrowland, especially the alfredo noodles. The chicken sausage in a pretzel romm at Village Haus in Fantasyland is also good. The meat skewers at Bengal BBQ in Adventureland make a great snack.

If you're ever there around Halloween, the pumpkin spice muffins are delicious! Same goes for if you're there around the holidays & have the soft gingerbread cookies that are wearing chocolate dipped mouse ear hats.

WOW!! So many choices! We will definitely be going to Blue Bayou and Carnation Cafe. I want to do breakfast at River Belle Terrace at least once. We also have ressies at The Storyteller Cafe. Want to try Pacific Wharf for the bread bowl soups and Taste Pilot Grill sounds like a must do also. DH and I are going to make a list of treats, snacks and dishes that we hope to try. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

A healthy diet is nearly non existant for us when we're at disney!

DH and I agree but since this is our 30th anniversary we are not going to worry about it - we're going to ENJOY it!

It just came out a few months ago but the Fried Green Tomato sandwich with Sweet potato fries at Hungry Bear Restaurant is sooooooooo AMAZING! my new absolute favorite!

I think this is going to go on my must try list! YUM

Carnation Cafe does have a lot of great foods....and if you stop there, be sure to ask if Oscar is working! He's an original.....as in he has worked at the park from the beginning and has some wonderful stories to tell about "back then", Walt, etc.

We will definitely be checking out Carnation Cafe so I will make a note of this. Thanks for the tip

I can't believe there's no mention of beignets at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen yet. They are awesome! Way better than the ones at Cafe Orleans.

Goofy4Pooh, Storytellers Cafe has a lot of a great food, especially the flatbreads. I tried that for lunch last time I was there and had way too much food for one meal. The bread bowls at Pacific Wharf are also great comfort food. Still, I'm with M&C: the beignets at Ralph Brennan's are amazing. Possibly the best food in the entire resort.

Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen is my favorite of all. Love the atmosphere and food. They make Bananas Fosters right at your table! Either sit upstairs on the balcony and people watch, or downstairs in the Jazz room and interact with the band. Fun!

Thinking about my response to this made me realize how nostalgic I am when it comes to eating at Disneyland.

I love popcorn and an icy Coke when in line for HM.

I like a churro when heading to IASW.

Pretzels with cheese and a caramel apple when waiting for the fireworks. Hey, it's a long wait- I need both!

Dark chocolate rocky road with my coffee in the morning.

I super heart Bengal BBQ.

I have to have a Dole Float while enjoying the Tiki Room.

As far as real food, love he clam chowder in a bread bowl at DCA.

Storyteller's breakfast buffet is so good and I am not a big buffet lover by any means.

DH really likes he chili dogs at Award Weiners in DCA. I just like saying it.

+1 for Carnation Cafe for breakfast. We've eaten there several times for breakfast and Chef Oscar almost always comes out to chit chat - make an delicious meal that much more fun. Call for priority seating. Its not always crowded if you go first thing, but why take a chance!

If you are feeling like food outside of the park, there is a good/cheap hawaiian restaurant outside of the park. It is across the street from the Disney Outlet in Orangefair Mall. It probably isn't the healthiest, but was delish and well priced.

Popcorn. There is something so amazing about Disney popcorn. I love it from DLR and WDW. I have written several times about my DLR popcorn injury. The smell that comes from those popcorn carts is intoxicating. I lose all control. I love the smell. I love the taste. I love the bucket. Addicting little morsels! i dare say it's better than the movie theatre kind!

I'm also a sucker for the chicken fusili from Pizza Port and DLR hot chocolate. I know it's not fancy cocoa from Ghiradelli or anything, but there's something so wonderful about it. All of that Disney magic in a warm cup...
