What is your favorite food at Disneyland/California Adventure?

I love the jambalay at Blue Bayou. Also the corn dogs, popcorn, and dole whip are a must for every Disney trip :thumbsup2

Before I found these boards (now I'm constantly :surfweb: ) and was discovering Disneyland's secret Good Food Places all by myself, I wasn't really too sure where everyone was getting these delectable food items. Now I have many a thing to try. My mouth waters at the thought of the cream cheese jalapeno pretzels, and the all you can eat BBQ ribs!

My favorite food, I think will always be the pot roast at the Plaza Inn. True, if it's not fresh, it can get a little gelatinous sitting there, and if you're especially unlucky, you will get a fatty piece, but the mashed potatoes are to die for, and the ladies are always so nice that serve you and any special requests that I have (my brother has many a food allergy), they are always attentive to my needs.

In terms of snacks, at the bakery (sorry, don't know the name) just outside the Disneyland Hotel Dream tower's gift shop by the pool, there are these double (near triple) chocolate Mickey Mouse cupcakes, and they're always the first thing I get whenever I go. I always have to get a corn dog from the castle in DCA, and my brother and I have this secret Disneyland popcorn fetish - seriously, what do they put in that stuff?!

Of course, my #1 favorite snack (because I eat as much as two grown men - I'm a 19 year old girl, 5'3, and 115 pounds... it's something in my metabolism, I swear!) is the bacon wrapped asparagus at Bengal Barbeque. My fam and I always buy multiple skewers while we watch Fantasmic, and drink lemonade slushies after a long day in the hot sun. It's my favorite part of the day.

We really loved the ribs at Taste Pilots Grill. They were so yummy and the meat just fell off the bone. It was so much better then I expected from a counter service. We actually ate there twice! I cant wait to have them again! Yumm!:p

We tried quite a few things during our trip last week:

Disneyland:

The fried green tomato sandwich from Hungry Bear was good but not great. The salad with chicken was not good at all. The crispy chicken sandwich was good. The kids hamburger was the size of a silver dollar, my daughter was still hungry.

We tried 3 different skewers at Bengel Barbecue. We really liked the chicken and the asparagus wrapped with bacon. The spicy beef, not so much. My kids liked the pretzels with cheese.

Dole whips are fabulous!!

Love the pickles from the little carts.

Love the turkey legs.

Love the popcorn and churros. We had these multiple times each day :)

LOVED the slushy "frozen" lemonade and cherry lemonade from the cart in front of the Haunted Mansion area. We had one every day.

My kids liked the chimichangas but I thought they were greasy and gross.

I liked the corndogs from the little red wagon, but they were soooo greasy that I couldn't finish one.

I really enjoyed the pretzel stick dipped in chocolate and carmel and rolled in m&m's from Pooh's corner. :) :) My son loved the Tigger tails.

California Adventure:

The breadbowls from Pacific Wharf were just okay. We ordered the chicken salad and the vegeatrian chili and weren't impressed.

The soft serve ice cream from the place on the bridge going towards the pier is so good!

Turkey legs again were good on the pier as well as the corn on the cob :)

We want to try Breakfast at Minnie's, it sounds like fun :wizard: Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen is definately on our list ~ it's between that and Steakhouse 55 for our anniversary dinner. Big Thunder Ranch wasn't on my top ten list so no worries there. Thanks for your input :thumbsup2

BTW ~ where did you get the Disney Name Tag counter?? I didn't see it as a choice when I did mine and I really like it. :earsboy:

LOL- I'm glad you like it! I did it at **************.
